Dealership Sales Review

They tried to help but I felt decieved
Written by 03/12/2011
onI went to this dealership on a whim since I was in the area.
I was looking at used VW GTI's, of which they had 3 I was interested in.
I ended up test driving all three of them, and started looking hard at one, that I thought was nice.
I wanted leather seats and they were more than accommodating in that respect, that they would install them in my total price.
That is where the good comments end.
First I asked for a carfax on all three vehicles, including twice on the one that I was getting more serious about.
after 4 hours there I effectively saw none of them.
The weather was getting bad so, I decided to head home to think about the deal.
Thats when the deal really went down hill.
I realized that the reason they were so accommodating about the leather seats is because the car was 1) marked up almost 4,000 over the internet price, and 2) the car had been in an accident while it was in their lot.
No one felt that the customer needed to know that apparently.
Perhaps that is why I couldn't get a copy of a carfax.
this piqued my curiosity, and I looked at the other two cars, both had what seemed to be a long list of electrical checks, and engine checks in the past.
I would strongly urge anyone buying a used car from here that they be very careful, and make sure you don't get caught up in their over accommodation.
If it's too good to be true then it probably isn't true.
I took my business closer to my home, and to what I felt was a more "honest" dealership.

Just like anywhere else be careful.
