Dealership Sales Review

1 out of 5 starssales Rating
Dishonest and Disloyal Business
Written by Rob477 on 12/30/2014
Back in 2012, I purchased (financed) an Optima Hybrid and leased a Sorrento (yes, I walked out of there with two vehicles on the same night from the same salesman). At the time, I was desperate for a new car since my existing one was extremely unreliable. As soon as I entered the showroom, I was hounded. Since I don’t play poker and don’t have a good poker face, they clearly saw that I was in love with the car. They didn’t give me a break and insisted that they couldn’t bring down the price from the sticker. They accepted my trade-in at gave me $2000 less than KBB. Further, I had an incredible credit rating yet they gave me an awful rate. I had no experience in shopping for a car and this was my first time. So, this explains why I allowed much of this to happen. On top of everything that occurred, they insisted that I rate them nothing less than a 10. Feeling awkward and embarrassed to create a scene, I went ahead and gave them that rating. Sadly, they treated me very kindly because they wanted the sale. So, when I read other customers write that they were treated with kindness or professionalism, I can only smile (sarcastically) because, of course, they’re going to be kind and nice: they’re trying to make a sale. After 7 hours of waiting, I finally succumbed to their tactics and walked out with two vehicles. On December 29, 2014, I stopped by the dealership to inquire about selling my Optima. I understand that dealerships are more inclined to purchase back their original cars for the right price. My vehicle is in pristine condition. That said, when I walked in, one of their salesmen approached me and immediately referred my request to a manager. After speaking to the manager, he came back out and said that they will not buy any vehicle unless I was looking to purchase one from them. Even after I explained my history with them 2-years ago, they still wouldn’t entertain my request. They’re greedy and just out for money. I understand that a dealership is a business and wants to make money but they are simply ridiculous. They have no loyalty to their customers. Even despite the fact that I walked out with two vehicles in one night (something that not many customers would do), they still wouldn’t even hear me out or give me their time. How quickly they forget!! Do not trust this dealership!!
