Never Use Jim Butler Kia
Written by Walkerpup on 07/01/2016
Never use Jim Butler Kia! They are very manipulative and will quote how great of customer service they offer, when in reality, it is a blatant lie. After using bait and switch tactics and taking advantage of a first time car buyer (which we all know is very scary and nerve racking experience), they were ignorant and very rude when trying to handle the situation. I strongly recommend avoiding this company at all costs, so you to wont get scammed as I have.

Dealer Response
Ms. Walker, thank you for your note. I am sorry that you feel that way and certainly surprised by all the bashing on social media you have completed today. We are really sorry that you feel that way. However I am confident that you should be very happy with your purchase. I assure you that we did not mislead, bait and switch or do anything wrong. Your husband worked all numbers on the phone stating that he was friends with Butch Suntrup and asked us for the details regarding the programs. It was the last day of the month and we gave your husband over the phone the detail numbers that we were willing to do. In subsequent phone conversations, recorded, your husband asked for finance programs, rates and so forth. You and your son(I assume), , came to my dealership, walked through the paper work with our finance person and signed all the paper work. You then asked us to remove all Jim Butler KIA stickers from the vehicle so you would not upset Butch. We completed the task and you and your son appeared to be happy and very friendly. During your finance visit, you asked why the rate was higher than you anticipated. Our Finance Manager shared with you that the KIA program, true for EVERY dealer, was either take the $2,000 discount or take the 1.9% finance from KIA. No one ever stated you could take the discount and get the 1.9%. Your husband may have assumed, but it is a simple math and review of the details that shows the program. There are no hidden facts or agenda. You certainly bought the car below invoice, as you are aware, because your husband asked us to beat his good friend Butch Suntrup by $400. We did. I could assume that if that was not the understanding, you would of said no to the deal in the finance office and walked away or called your husband before you took delivery of the vehicle. You did not. I have now watched you disparage my team when all we did was do what you ask. We did not trick or manipulate a first time car buyer (I have never met you but see your profile online and reviewed your file) and that seems a little bit caustic, disingenuous and inappropriate. I am sorry that you feel this way and really sorry that you chose to try and damage our reputation. But the facts are the facts and the details are the details. I am good friends with Butch as well. I am sure I will see him in the next few days and we will discuss. As always, my door is always open to customers, we thank you for your business and believe you got a great deal on a NEW KIA. It is really a spectacular vehicle. my phone is 636-349-8303 Best of the world to you and your family. Have a great fourth. Brad Sowers-Owner & Ted Read-GM
