Dealership Sales Review

Salesman told me the car I was looking at was "mispriced" on the website
Written by 04/29/2012
onI am telling my story about a classic "bait and switch" that this dealership tried to pull on me when I went there to look at a car. I drove 20 miles to the dealership at 9 am on a Saturday morning to look at a car that they had advertised on their website for $7991. I drove the vehicle and then sat down with the salesman to negotiate an aggreeable price.
I made a cash offer and the salesman flat out told me that he would not go to his manager with my offer. I said well then go get the best price for me. He went into the manager's office and was gone for about 20 minutes.
I knew something was going on, but I just didn't know what. The salesman finally came back and said that the car had been "mispriced" on the website and that the real price of the car was $9999. The salesman told me that I was really saving "over $2000" by purchasing the vehicle "TODAY!".
He then tried to convince me it was a steal at the price they had it listed for on the website(I disagreed with that!).
The sales manager said it was just a "clerical error" and that I unfortunately was the one to find it.
I felt like they were playing games with me at this dealership.
I told the sales manager that they needed to fix their little "error", and he assured me that it had already been taken care of.
When I arrived home, I logged into their website and the car was still listed at a price of $7991.
I would not waste your time or gas in driving out to this dealership and cannot recommend doing business with these people.
