Told us to go an American Car dealership who has better rebates
Written by 05/31/2014
onAfter going back and forth via email with Gene and was ready to trade in our '12 Soul, we were pushed off onto another sales person when we arrived (even though we made an appointment). We were basically told we'd be too upside down from our other loan to get into any car they had on the lot. Then we were told to try going to an American Car Dealership for a better rebate. They could do nothing for us. We even were referred there from a family member who bought a car from there 3 weeks earlier, they had an older car than ours and owed about the same balance with no credit and they drove out of there with a brand new car with 0 down. Very sad we couldn't trade our used Kia in at the Kia dealer for a newer model and were told to go to another brand completely.

I am not sure what "financial situation" you are referring to. If you mean we didn't have cash to put down, that isn't a "financial situation", that is a situation that car dealerships encounter everyday and they still work out deals (as you all did with my sister in law who put nothing down on her new Kia Forte and who had zero credit). Furthermore, my review was based on the entire experience, not just the "financial situation", we were bounced around from one sales person to the next, made to wait, and wasted our time. I'm sure the next person who comes in there to purchase a car in a similar situation would like to know the expectations of how they will be treated if they come to your dealership.

Dealer Response
Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. I apologize for your frustration. Unfortunately, in your financial situation we did not have a vehicle that would work. I would be more than happy to further discuss your frustration, experience and credit. You may reach me at 813-579-5942. Thank you, Andrew Dunton, General Manager
