Galpin Employees have violated their own Company's Mission Statement!

Galpin Employees Matt S. and David C. have violated their own Company's Mission Statement and Customer Bill of Rights. After negotiating a purchase price for a 2013 Jaguar XF, Galpin's staff literally attempted to trick me into purchasing a 2012 Jaguar XF. The sales person showed me the car without any disclosures that it was in fact a 2012. After they showed me the car, I literally had the check in my hand to start the paperwork, when all of a sudden they decided to spring the 2012 year information on me. A classic bait and switch right at the time of purchase. Than they tried to convince me that the 2012 was the best deal and that they would sell it to me for the same price as the 2013 Jaguar XF. In the last 12 years, I have purchased 5 Jaguars from a different dealership, so needless to say I was already horrified at this level of deception. It gets worse, the 2013 Jaguar XF was a Certified Pre-owned Vehicle and the Galpin staff had already told me that 2012 was a better deal. It turns out the 2012 was not even a Certified Pre-owned Vehicle, but this too was deceptively kept from me. After which I was walking out of the building in disgust over the way I was treated, when they called me back in to tell me that they they would certify the car but the technicians would not be in until Tuesday given that it was labor day weekend. So they categorically stated that I should go home and relax and they would take care of everything before I would have to come back and complete the purchase. The next day, I actually received a call from the sales person informing me that I would need to come back in to purchase the vehicle before they would certify it. I'm told Galpin prides themselves on customer service, however, if this is how Galpin chooses to have their sales and finance department act with their customers, than I do not in anyway know how they would receive such positive ratings. This whole transaction has been horrific and borderline criminal. More people need to take the time to write about the other side of Galpin.
