sales Rating
Not Pushy, yet Aggressive

onI visited several dealers to test drive different popular mini vans. Some did not even bother offer me a test drive because I told them I am still in research phase. This dealer is different, right after the test drive, the salesperson asked me to give her a price to work on, I told her I have not done enough research to know what is a good price. She quickly offered me to use their computer in the office, I got on to Edmunds.com, found the TMV price; now since I had no intention to buy the car that day, I made an offer $500 below the TMV. After 2 hours, I drove out the dealership with the new Sienna for $300 below the TMV. I am very happy with the car and the entire experience.
I do regret traded in my old car on that day, because I could have gotten much better price selling it on my own. But even that, I cannot blame this decision on the dealership; during the entire trade in negotiation, the sales person repeatedly told me not to trade in the car because I could easily get a better price from private buyer.
One negative note on the dealership, every car on the lot came with a stolen vehicle recovery service, which the dealer insist you must pay $200-$300 for because it's pre-installed. For me, this was not mentioned throughout the negotiation, and they sort of sneak this in on the contract. It was good thing I went through every single item during the signing, I told them I don't want it and therefore will not pay for it. Eventually they remove it from the contract.
