Visited to purchase a car that was advertised at approx. $19.500. After agreeing to buy the car I was presented with an invoice that was $1295 higher. The reason given is that a Karr security system had been installed and wired into the original wiring harness. This additional cost should have been disclosed in the advertised price since I was denied the option to purchase the car without the alarm. Talking to my local mechanic I now have found out that these aftermarket alarms often cause major problems with the sensitive electronics in Mercedes vehicles. I really don't want this overpriced equipment in my car. Kevin, the salesperson was friendly and helpful. The add on was never mentioned until the final bill was presented. These slimy dealer practices have long turned customers off from buying from dealers. I'm sorry to find out that things have not changed.
