Buyer Beware

onI was sold a Chevrolet 2500 HD truck used from Salinas Valley Ford, it had an aged smog certificate that was done in house, and I pre-dated my sales contract with the dealership so they wouldn't have to run the exhaust test again. Well that was a HUGE mistake. I go to get my vehicle registration redone in 2016 and find out that there is no catalytic converter on the system. I did not modify it, I did not have anyone modify it, and the truck has only had 12,000 miles on it since then. I haven't needed to do more than change the oil in it. I took it to the dealer and he offered to have me pay for replacing it all. I felt I was being taken advantage of, so I did not make a decision to have the work done by them. I looked to pursue other ways to have my vehicle be as described inn the purchase agreement.
