Toyota of Orange

I was interested in a Prius II. These guys had 15 listed in their Sunday ad. I emailed them and asked them to send me an out the door quote. I had a spreadsheet and asked them if the total price was correct. The sales person replied that it was and that he would hold a vehicle for me if I came in that day (this was at about 1PM on a Sunday). I arrived at 3PM and showed the spreadsheet to the sales person. He confirmed verbally that the total price calculated was correct. After a short test drive, the sales person wrote up the quote and took it to the "Manager". The sales person came out and stated that the car had been sold the day before - even though the ad ran on a Sunday only and I had confirmed with him at 1PM that the vehicle was still available. The manager came out at this point and gave me a "counter" offer that was $2000 over the ad price, and $1000 over the Costco quote. He became more and more condescending as time went by. Long story short, I walked out of there and took my business elsewhere. The other reviewers are correct - the managers are arrogant and condescending. They use old school bait-and-switch, good-cop/bad-cop tactics. Don't these guys realize how much the internet has changed things? My mom wants a Sienna XLE - guess which dealer I am NOT recommending? When my old Camry needs servicing, guess which dealer I will NOT be taking it to?
