Dealership Sales Review

1 out of 5 starssales Rating
My experience such a disappointment (actually a costly nightmare)
Written by Sharonj on 07/11/2017
I bought a 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 from jasper auto a month ago. The salesman's name was Gabe. We had heard so many great things about this car dealership. The buying process was easy and no hassle. But what came after the sale has been a complete nightmare. And I have waited a month before writing this review to see if Jasper Auto would make things right. We purchased the truck to pull our 35 ft travel trailer, after getting it home we noticed air pressure sensors were flashing, so we assumed not enough air in tires , no this wasn't the case, the wrong tires were on the truck, passenger tires not the light tire trucks that required 65-80 lbs of pressure for the flashing sensors to go off and pull a 8000 lb travel trailer. So new tires cost us $800 , when asked, Gabe said that's just what came on it? We then asked where is the key fob and extra key? Gabe said you can come down and get one made at our cost when the guy comes and pick up a jack,( that was missing from the truck), " I'm sure there's one lying around", well after an email I sent to Jasper Auto, Gabe decided free of cost for the fob and key and we will order a jack.( we've yet to see either) 4 lug Nuts were missing on each one of the wheels, so we bought lug nuts. Back brake light was out, so we replaced bulb , oil change light was flashing when we bought it, changed the oil and filter which requires 7 qts., so evidently the over $400 dealer fee has nothing to do with checking out a car and at least changing the oil, Gabe says ,has nothing to do with it ,that's something to do with computer cost. So can't a dealership with rave reviews like jasper auto at least change the oil and make sure all the lights are working and there's a jack in case of flat tire, a key fob to lock and unlock ( another safety issue)?? And put the factory recommended tires on the truck? It don't end there, there was an exhaust leak, to have it fixed, could possibly run as much as $1800.00, the brake controller ( in order to pull our travel trailer )had to be replaced with a cost of $350 , now it's in the shop because the plug on the truck where the travel trailer connects is not functioning .and the cracked centerpiece on wheel ( when we bought it) has cracked to pieces .The plugs for phone chargers ( not functioning )We have reached out several times for this dealership to make this right, and they have done nothing. Evidently Gabe made his sale ($$) and you can forget service. Needless to say, I will never buy from this dealership again and would not recommend anyone else.
