Dealership Sales Review

Bait and Switch- Central Houston Nissan

Out of town buyer: Well this is because I had am still having a very bad experience. It started out with typical sales people providing some but not all information, then management stepped in and replacing that salesperson which provide the info I had asked for but (see but response) later. I schedule the trip to pick up the car they picked me up (thank you)and the paperwork process what was expected as everyone is so nice to sell you something. The car was "certified" and the emphasis from all was how great this certification is and "no worries". I took the car for a test drive around the block as Ed the sales guy directed me. Everything seemed fine and the Certification is supposed to have confirmed the car is trust worthy such as all electronics brake and tire wear (min Nissan standard or the dealership needs to bring it to Nissan "certification Minimum standards" so I trusted the "certification process" and drove away. Here is is where it starts to go poorly and sales people now don't return calls or emails to rectify the situation: My travels back identified a number of issues.... * Email from dealership states 7/32 tire wear remaining. Certification is 50%. On that tire it is 11/32 new. The right rear had 4/32 and I had to pull over on my way back due to the car reacting violently to hydroplaning in the rain I was in. I stopped at another Nissan dealership to ask them to check it out and they verified the reason for the cars reaction was it was only at 4/32. Aprox 2/32 is legally bald. Here is the response to defend the dealership..."Randy I spoke with my guys who assured me that the rotors were fine and my service Manager said that even if the tire was 4/32 that that would be enough to pass Nissan Certification. What exactly are you suggesting to do about it? Ed" I suggested they pay for the replacement of that tire as I had to to ensure my safety. I mentioned this in my email and they have not addressed my safety so I will assume that is not very important, but the sales process was....??? * next item was I was receiving a vibration when braking at highway speeds (coming off ramp. I was told that a warped rotor is the problem. You saw the response. I went to a local Nissan dealership to check this and I found I have no warranty on a car besides the power train and engine. So all other items like are my dime (that was a big shock as I just spent over $24K on a 3 yr old 18K mileage car. *Lastly, I think... is I went to title the car in another state and found they had not provided the title (I paid cash) with all the documents they provide to you. I have calls and emails to personal mobile numbers as well as the dealership and no response going on 6th day. I just emailed them again prior to submitting this review. I am out of town and in their mind out of luck. 5/1/15 I will adjust this review if the dealership handles the situation. If they don't beware.
