Always get a second opinion !

Be very wary of the service department at this dealership. My experiences with them leads me to believe that they are incompetent or less than honest or both. 1. Almost every time I have taken the car for service, something else has developed a fault. In the latest incident my Camry needed a new window regulator. After the regulator was installed we noticed that the window was sluggish when closing. The service department representative told me that the motor was burnt out and wanted me to pay many dollars up front for them to order the new motor. I complained to the general manager who told me he would "take care of it." But they still wanted me to pay in advance. Later a technician who claimed to have been the one who worked on the car called me and said to bring the car by so he could check it out. 2. After the same time in the Phil Bachman dealership the cruise control no longer worked (it worked before the window service). 3. I did not return to the dealership, rather I went to an auto body shop. On inspection that technician found a small retaining clip which held the regulator cable was not properly seated and that the window was binding on that clip. Properly seating that clip repaired the sluggish operation (without a new motor!). 4. This is the worst ! -- While at the body shop, I opened the hood and found the cruise control. I was surprised and alarmed that the one machine screw securing the cover showed signs of having been recently loosened. I had the technician open the cover and examine the cruise control. Immediately we saw that an electric plug was not connected but was loose down in the motor compartment. Both the plug on the wire and the plug inside the cover showed obvious signs of deliberate damage with retaining clips broken and the plug housing broken. My diagnosis is that my car was sabotaged because it has always been serviced at that shop and the cruise control has NEVER been serviced. 5. Every time I have a Toyota in that shop, I'm told it needs a new timing belt. I ask how they know and am told "visual inspection." I ask who authorized them to open my engine to inspect that belt and they stutter and stammer.

I agree. These are the most dishonest people I have ever dealt with. I wouldn't let them work on my bicycle.
