Sendell Volkswagen

My husband and I did a lot of research over the course of a few weeks and decided the Volkswagen Golf TDI was the perfect car for us. We went to another dealer and sat in the car. To our dismay, he didn't fit in the seat, so we were left at square one. We'd visited other dealers and had some idea of what we wanted, but hadn't done much research on other makes or models. When we arrived at Sendell, it took a really long time for someone to help us, but it was kind of nice to have free rein in the showroom without a salesman distracting us. Eventually, Heather was able to help us and she was GREAT! There were a couple different car brands that she was able to sell (Subaru, Mitsubishi, Volkswagen, and Buick) and we had one or two models from each (XV Crosstrek, Forester, Outlander Sport, Lancer Sportback, Jetta Sportwagen TDI) that seemed to be what we were interested in. She let us sit in them all and even took us for two test drives. I didn't expect that much time from a salesperson, but I am really glad she stayed with us through the process. She was also really knowledgeable. She answered any questions we had quickly and if she didn't know, she looked the answer up for us on the spot. (Other dealers would tell us they would call us with the information...and we still haven't received a call after several days.) Heather wasn't pushy at all and she had an excellent personality for her trade. When she told me she'd only been in the business for about a year, I couldn't believe it. She's a natural. I gave the dealership 4 stars because a deal was not made that day...or today. They are trying to charge more for a 2013 car than an identical 2014 car at another dealer in the area and have not budged. I know it's not Heather's fault and I know she definitely would have been able to execute the sale had it been up to her. I just really enjoyed the no-pressure atmosphere at this dealer while we were looking and I appreciate all the time Heather took with us to help us find the right car...even if we don't buy it from their dealership.
