onI found a two year old Ford SHO for a really good price at the Ricart Auto Mall.
I called and confirmed that the vehicle was in. I spoke with a sales rep so that I could contact him directly when I got there.
When I arrived I was first struck with the soldier ant feel of the sales reps.
All were dressed in identical uniforms and there were dozens of them.
I asked for the rep I spoke with and he was brought over to me shortly.
I noticed that he had another customer that he was dealing with. So began the next 2 hrs. of my life that I wasted. The sales rep continued to be busy with the other customer and rushed past me speaking to me briefly between exchanges with the other customer.
I had a trade in I wanted to get appraised and this was told to them on the phone and immediately upon my arrival.
I relayed to them that the sales prices was fair and my appraisal would determine the final deal.
After finally getting the keys and taking the vehicle on a 20 minute test drive I arrived back and my appraisal was still not done.
A manager came over to check on how I was doing and I asked him point blank about how much more time this would take.
He told me that even if I said yes now then it would be another two hours.
Needless to say I was done at this point.
I did finally get an appraisal, but it took two hours of sitting around to get it done.
The price point of the vehicle was competitive so I guess if you are going in with all kinds of time or paying cash it may be worth it.
