Dealership Sales Review

1 out of 5 starssales Rating
Disappointing experience.

I was looking for a good used 3/4 ton pickup for my business. I found it on online at this dealership and drove over to check it out. Told them I was looking for a good used truck for my business but didn't want one that previously was used for snow plowing. The salesman gave me their spiel on how they do a 72 point inspection on every used vehicle that they take in on trade. After driving the vehicle it seemed to drive ok but since they aren't very close to a highway you can only test drive on local roads. There was an issue with the tire pressure indicator that I requested they fix before I picked it up. After picking up the vehicle and driving it home the light came back on. Also my wife was following me home and noticed the exhaust was flopping around pretty bad. I checked the exhaust and all the hangers were broken and all the weight was on the muffler. Which also was rotted out. I took the truck back two days later (40 minutes each way) to have the problems addressed. They fixed the low tire pressure indicator problem but refused to fix the exhaust because it was an after market add on. I took that to the local muffler shop and installed a new muffler and stock tail pipe. $275. A simple fix that could have been done at the dealership for probably less. Then after getting some drive time on the highway I noticed the truck wanted to wander. Took it to a local front end shop to find out the front suspension was shot. Not to mention the mechanic told me there was a plow on it at one time. Explains why a truck with only 32,000 miles on it has a shot front suspension. I contacted my salesman Dustin and demanded they do something about all these issues that should have be caught and fixed before putting this vehicle on the lot. I did get a $300 reimbursement. Whoopie! The salesmen at this place only care to tell you what you want to hear to make a sale and then could give a hoot about you afterwards. Before the sale I got several calls trying to make the deal. When I had problems it would go days before getting a response. The sad part of this whole ordeal is my wife ended up trading in her truck and buying a used car. We spent well over $40,000 on two vehicles in a 4 day span and get treated like this. My wife is still waiting for a return call from the same salesman with information she requested over a week ago. My recommendation would be to have a mechanic from another shop inspect your vehicle before purchasing from their used car lot. If I would have done this they would still have these two vehicles sitting on their lot!
