The worst service department with the worst sales department
Written by 04/15/2008
onThe first day I drove my car I had the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitor system) light come on and stay on. So, I took it to Hyundai village service department.
They checked the car for almost an hour while I waited. They called me back to get my car and tell me its all fixed. The service staff told me that it could have been caused by my phone charger that was plugged in the AC outlet!!! I said sure maybe
youre the experts
so I thanked them and left even though I had a bad feeling that this is not over
and sure enough not even 5 miles down the road, the light came back on
I turned around and drove back in. this time, they promised me they will check it more closely
so I left the dealership to go to work and they once again, promise to bring my car to me at work. I got a call later that afternoon that the car is all set
a staff from the dealer dropped the car and gave me the paperwork to sign. I asked him what they found
he said that the problem was the sensors
so they replaced them. And that should fix it. At that time, I couldnt check the car
when later that night I drove the car, once more the light came back on. I was so angry and disgusted with this whole car deal. It was suppose to be my band new car
with no hassle no problems no mechanical problem, but I got all of the above. I knew then, that I was done with these guys
first it was the sales department, now it was the service department. My brand new Santa Fe had become a source of stress and it didnt even have 40 miles.
I decided to check my car at [violative content deleted] service department. I wish I had taken it there the first time it is by far better then Hyundai village in all aspects:
They took the car to be checked
in less then an hour the service staff member called me over to announce to me the results of the technician diagnostics who was also present, the problem was not the sensors which Hyundai village had replaced wastefully, but it had to do with the computer reading the codes
The other dealer must have known this, or they have the worst technicians ever. I was sold a defective car at Hyundai village and the dealership most likely was aware of the problem, its not a coincidence that the first day I drove my car, the light come on. On top of this, they did not know how to fix it nor offered a genuine solution for the problem. It seems to me that their way of doing business was to make you come back for repair over and over to make up for any possible shortage of profit they did not make during the sale.

This customer also left us a negative Sales review because we did not give him free labor to go along with his free mud guards. See my reply to his sales review before you take anything this person says to heart.
