Car owners beware upselling
Written by 08/27/2016
onMy wife took our 30,000 mileage 2012 Elantra in because the check engine light came on. They reset the ECU and then proceeded to tell us it needed to have the coolant system flushed, the brake fluid flushed, an alignment, and the valves and pistons cleaned. It had just been inspected 2 months ago and the tires rotated and oil and filter changed. We received no estimate and the bill was 760.00. In short, a check engine light got upsold to a large service bill. My local Hyundai dealer said they dont recommend changing brake fluid till 80000 miles and we were taken. In short, we do not recommend and will never return to "Courtesy" Hyundai.
