Double and triple check your car
Written by 06/14/2016
onSo the process, in theory is good. You call, get your price, show up with a check and buy your car. No games, no "let me talk to my finance manager", etc. And you get a good car ata good price.
In theory.
So I did exactly that. Got the purchase order, got a cashers check and drove 260+ miles to pick up my car.
So, I check out the car for a few minutes and it seems good. Looks clean and they even used tire shine on the wheels!
Until I give them the check. Apparently they put wrong county for the tax. They wanted me to foot the bill for their mistake.
Luckally they honored the price.
So I hop in my car and dive away. Time to enjoy my car! Right? Wrong!
So it started to rain so I put on my wipers. Well, apparently I'm missing a wiper so now I have nice scratch on my windshield on my nice new car!
I guess it's my fault not checking but who the hell checks if a car has wipers?
I text my sales guy and he politely says "too bad, so sad".
That the interior looks clean but they didn't clean out center console! The car had keys and crap in it!
Overall, I guess the buying process wasn't horrible but it could have been better. We'll see how car holds up as I only had it for a day and seems fine but if you're going there, check every inch of car. All these guys seem to do is get the off the truck from the auction, wash it and sell it.
I guess savings have to be paid for somehow, huh?
