I have a 2006 Pontiac Montana SV6 and have had a similar problem. If we close the passenger side power sliding door with the manual option then it doesn't chime, but if we use the power door with the power option then it randomly chimes while I'm driving. We never know when it'll go off and so far with one exception we can park the van and manually open and close ... Read More
I am having the same problems. I just got my 2006 Pontaic Montana SV6 out the yesterday for the THIRD TIME!! and the ABS, Traction Control, Service Stability lights came back on and the ABS started engaging as usual. What do I do?
I have a 2006 Pontiac Montana SV6. Same exact thing happened to me. You need a NEW wiper arm mechanism (~$200.00). Apparently some oxidation occurs and causes the wipers to not move at all! We tried replacing the motor but that was not the problem. We bought the part from our local dealer and installed it ourselves. The hardest part is getting the mechanism out. Once it is out replacing it ... Read More
Hello all, We are having some trouble with our 2006 Pontiac SV6. Suddenly all the power windows, power locks, and the rear backup sensor have stopped working. When we press the window up/down button we hear a clicking from the driver side dash. All other things seem to be working fine (radio,cd,dvd, dash lights, etc). Can someone please tell us what it could be? and How do we fix it? It ... Read More
I have a 2006 Pontiac Montana SV6 and the message center indicates that the "AWD has been disabled". The dealer says it needs a sensor and will cost over $500.00. Is this reasonable. I have no idea what something like that should cost.
I believe I found the answer: "GM has recently issued (revised) TSB # 05-06-03-003B (Headlamps and/or interior lights flicker intermittently) for the 2005 & 2006 Chevrolet Uplander, Buick Terraza, Saturn Relay, and Pontiac Montana SV6 - which instructs the dealer to replace the generator voltage regulator with a kit, part #15926088 (and NOT the entire generator)." Now there was also another TSB issued in 2005 that said to replace the alternator. ... Read More
We bought the last of the United States Pontiac SV6s, a 2006 with the LZ9 3.9l motor. It's fully loaded, just missing the satellite radio option. Vehicle performed perfectly for the first week, then stalled on me, luckily I was alone. Spent a month in the shop for the mechanics to trace the problem to a bent wire on the coil pack module. Now she runs like a champ! Kids love ... Read More
Dave: I, too, would love to hear any compare/contrast comments you have between the Terraza and the Rendezvous. I currently own a 2002 AWD RDV CXL but I'd like a bit more cargo room. How does the ride/handling compare? Acceleration (I'm assuming with the 3.9, you have a lot more get up and go)? Creature comforts? Visibility? Usable cargo room? Thanks! Can you share with us what you paid for your ... Read More
