  I have an opportunity to buy an '05 LX470 from a friend. 88K miles - $27,500. I'm familiar with the car an know it's had no mechanical problems and has been serviced regularly per Lexus recommended schedule at Lexus dealershp. The 90K mile service was just completed. Miles are all onroad and most highway. Thoughts? Advice? I love these trucks but am concerned re: the high mileage. I've read of folks ... Read More

  Totally agree. Taken me the last year to get Lexus to agree to pay 50% of a repaint of my 2000 LX 470, smokey Topaz. then they tell me they want $ 700 more to remove 4 door dings! Absolutely appauling customer service for a 14 year, 5 car customer. Transmission also self destructed at 82,000 miles. Never again for me.

  I would never buy another Lexus.They say they are good cars and they have great customer service,yeah til you have a big problem then you are on your own.I have over 60,000.00 in one and its sitting in my garage with me afraid to drive it because of safety issues....

  The factory warranty has you covered for two more years/32K Miles so you are covered if the truck has any major defects you can't uncover during a thorough test drive.   I was just offered a 2005 lexus lx 470 maxed out with every option (not sure about night hawk) for 46200 at a lincoln dealership. It has 16000 miles on it. Do you think this is a good deal? 1 owner. I am concerned about buying from a ford dealer.

  Sewell Lexus in Dallas sold me a 2006 in Oct 2005 fresh off the truck from port of Long Beach for 62146...MSRP was 68795 (preferred pkg, spoiler, cross bars, tire locks)...thats 6649 off sticker for a newer year model

  Some folks on another website are saying that a new sequoia-based lexus suv is scheduled to come out in 2004 as a 2005 model. They say it'll be called the VX540 and will replace the LX 470.
