Hello loloBH92 , Do you already successfully upgrade your power window switches from 1992 to 1995- 2002 switches? I also want to upgrade my 1992 power window switches. Can you help me if this is possible or not. Thanks a lot Nap

I need to know what the compression psi is supposed to be. I changed the plugs and wires and there's still oil on two of the plugs. So I thought I would check the compression. It's a 3.2L
Hello everyone, i need a power window diagram(driver side and passenger side) of a 1997 isuzu trooper. i am upgrading my 1992 trooper power window switches and i dont know which wire goes to each color. Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks
What is the best procedure for removing lower hose coupling from pump. 1992 3.2L thank you
Hi, I have an Isuzu Trooper 1992, 3.2l DHOC, and its not running well, its like it doesn't have power, cranks right but I had to reduce spark plug gap because it was like misfiring. Could it be the ignition coil? i checked them with a multimeter and i read 6.4 k ohm, they are ac delco d555. Its that right? i don't know the exactly value. Could it be a ... Read More
MY TROOPER STALLS AFTER WARMED UP, ONCE I LET OFF THE GAS IT WILL DIE. ALSO, THE IDLE AIR CONTROL KEEPS RUNNING EVEN WHEN THE CAR IS TURNED OFF. ANY HELP PLEASE
jcscott, I don't know exactly what the parts look like, but if I were trying to plug the hole where the end of the shaft went, I'd make a plug from the removed shaft. Plug both ends by using parts of the axles. Then remove the drive between the transfer case and the front differential and use shaft parts again the plug those holes. With the moving parts removed or disconnected ... Read More
Interesting question, answer below, but if you are referring to the spark plugs, I can think of no logical connection between what you refer to as "oil corrosion" and the oil pressure variation you say you are seeing. Chances are better that it is a bad connection or faulty oil pressure sending unit or faulty guage. If you are referring to the fact that your oil pressure fluctuates at times while ... Read More
My 1992 Isuzu trooper oil pressure fluctuates when its running. I checked the plugs and noticed that only one had oil corrosion on it, whats wrong?
Hi, lots on this one. Some links included if I get this right! LOL I did the best I could with what you indicated. I am a little confused because there is a sensor on the trans, I think, that sends the pulses to the sensor in the dash. I could be all wrong, but I went in this direction because I could not find any other trouble code 24. I ... Read More
Does your charge warning indicator light work....in other words, relying on the gauge may not give you a true picture of what is going on..ie: With the engine not running and the ignition switch in ON, terminal L of the regulator is grounded internally providing ground for the charge warning light and the indicator lights up. With the engine running and the alternator charging, terminal L voltage rises and the indicator ... Read More
There are service bulletins at Isuzu for this. If this is your engine, this may help. The advice Boxtrooper gave you is real good and will help you find the components . Found some info on the nhtsa.gov site. Looks like 72,905 Troopers from 1992-1995 model years are potentially affected. Below is a paste from the NHTSA site of the info pertaining to the 1992 Trooper. The info for the other years looked to be the same. I can understand you never buying another Isuzu product again. One very bad experience, like a $5,000 bill for a new engine, is enough to sour just about anybody on a vehicle brand. However, I'd hope that when talking about Isuzus with other prospective buyers, you tell them about other pieces of information - such as this website where all these Isuzu junkies talk about how much they love their Isuzus. ... The realism is the Trooper hasn't changed much since 1992...some engine, drivetrain and body modifications, but to sit in a 1994 Trooper is probably not to far off sitting inside an 2002...IMO Isuzu may have changed the descriptions and brochures, however a limited vs. luxury package is pretty much the same. It was kind of funny how in late 2001 and 2002, all different flavors were reported as showing up on ... Read More
Dnestr, what part of Russia do you live in? Is there are any official Isuzu dealers? I am curious how do you get parts and/or service. By the way I grew up in Russia too (rather former USSR). I came to the US in 1992, never heard about Troopers before coming here. here is my email just in case satnavigator@yahoo.com
Paisan, There are about 8 different listings under for that at JC whitney. My guess is this: 1992 - 2000 Isuzu Trooper "BB" One-pc. Trailer Light Connector with Converter (A) Each 07ZX0194U $26.99 Would that be correct? Will that include everything needed?
Savvas_e, Thank you for your suggestion. I will be looking into the aftermarket 3rd row seats, but I'd like to get a rear seat that faces forward, folds and is easily removable, if possible - and hopefully one that is a split bench. And, I going to have to find a used 2nd row split bench somewhere to replace the OEM bench just to be able to get to the 3rd ... Read More
If by "a control stick on automatic transmission" you are looking for a way to check the automatic transmission fluid level, there is no such "dip stick" device on 1992-2002 Trooper automatics. .. Oil consumption on most Troopers is like any other vehicle, very little or not even measurable oil consumption. But, some Troopers do consume oil even when at low miles. The standard response from Isuzu or GM or Ford ... Read More
1. From the 1 picture I saw, I don't like the exterior very much. Nothing offensive, but there's nothing that brings a smile to my face the way the 1992-2002 Trooper does. 2. The wheelbase is 21 inches longer than the Trooper! I wonder how much interior room this thing will have. 3. I cannot believe Isuzu is providing the 10yr/120k mile powertrain warranty on this General Motors vehicle! This will ... Read More
I remember driving my 1984 Trooper to the 1991 Detroit Auto Show. There, Isuzu was displaying the prototype for the 1992 Trooper. Next to it was an engine cutaway to view the way it was deigned. Isuzu proudly claimed responsibility for the design and described it as better than any other engine available. Among the standard features is the engine oil water cooler. That day I studied the Engine and the ... Read More
It's been a couple years, but at one point I don't think there were more than a handful of people in the USA who knew more about Explorer features/options/prices than me (it was my job to test the "Build Your Own" portion of Ford Motor's various web sites, and Explorer was one of my vehicles). My recollection is that the base Explorer XLT was not quite as well-equipped as the "base" ... Read More
I am still a big proponent of Toyota and Honda vehicles, having owned a rock-solid '91 Camry (never should have sold it) and driven an '89 CRX Si that lasted 170k miles. If buying a new or late-model used vehicle today, I would give strong consideration to both brands. But I totally agree with paisan's post #1381. It's hard for an average consumer to prove, but my perception is that Toyota ... Read More
Yunk, The windshield noise is a known problem on all Troopers from 1992 on. I have owned a 94 Trooper and now own a 2000 Trooper - both had the problem. The problem is caused by the depth of the track between the "A" post and the windshield. The gap is about 1/4" wide and about as deep. The wind moving through this channel sets up a vibration. If you eliminate ... Read More
At the time of the CR article I owned a 1992 Trooper and Isuzu Corp mailed me a video explaining why the CR was in error. The video showed the different angles that the various test vehicles were driven thru and that the Trooper was driven around the test course at a lot sharper turn then the other vehicles. I felt at that time that Isuzu cared enough for their present ... Read More
My 2000S Trooper is my 2nd Isuzu. The 1st was a 1992 PU. The PU was the most dependable vehicle I have ever owned. 8 1/2 years, 90k and I only had to replace the front brakes & a few batteries. When you figure that Isuzu cost much less than comparable vehicles, the decision to buy again was easy for me. David
First things first. paisan, the Trooper does not, repeat, DOES NOT have auto hubs (post #495). It uses a drive flange. More on this in a moment. Also, quite a few vehicles within the last 10 years came equipped with manual hubs. The "base model" Toyota pickups up until a few years ago came standard with manual hubs, as did Nissan base pickups. My 1992 Toyota SR5 came with ADD, but ... Read More
The owner's manual lists both 10W30 and 5W30 depending on the temperatures where you live. The most knowledgeable Trooper people I know (I'm not one of them) swear by 5W30. That's what I use.
