onI had an issue with the GPS malfunctioning on my navigation system. I was told they were too busy to look at it during this appointment and that I would have to make another appointment. I feel a cursory look or pulling any computer codes could at least have been completed during this appointment. The service department at Corlew Chevrolet has degraded from what it was just a couple of years ago. They have lost my business. I'll be taking my vehicle to another Chevrolet dealership for it's next service.

Service Writer

onWhen I called for the appointment, I spoke with Claude. I specifically said I have a C8 corvette and needed my transmission fluid/trans filter changed out along with an oil change, alignment etc. I also told Claude I had the pre paid maintenance . He said no problem we can take care of all that. During the appointment, I was told the transmission and filter was not available and had to be ordered?? I asked Claude why wouldn't you check to see if the oil/filter was in stock before I made the appointment? When I checked in for the appointment, I again told him I had the pre paid maintenance. When I got the bill I noticed I was charged for the oil change and had to be refunded. The also did not do the 27 point inspection. I again asked Claude why the 27 point inspection wasn't done. He said, some people don't want it done because of time? I said I am not one of them and it should of been done. Claude said I was right. I now have to come back again when the transmission oil and filter come in.. Not a good experience ... The only bright spot was the Tech Joe .

Poor customer service

onI came in for a regular oil change and tire rotation. Service writer Claude came to me and found an issue with my in cabin air filter and suggested replacing it. I agreed. He then mentioned I was due for transmission fluid change. He never mentioned cost for that service and thinking it was a standard service I said to go ahead and do it. After my car was ready I went to check out and was hit with a $563 bill! When I questioned it and told Claude he never told me how much it was going to be, he replied with I didn't ask him either. I am accustomed to common courtesy where a service technician relays cost of a service without me having to ask. He then said it was a breakdown in communication. To which I replied, one that isn't costing him over $500. He agreed to that point then turned and walked away. I checked other service places and inquired about the cost of a transmission fluid change and flushing the system and not one was over $100. If that is how James Corlew takes care of their faitful customers, I will not recommend them to anyone and will let anyone that listens know how they overcharge without informing customers first of potential cost.

Love the car and the service

onWe came in to look at a used car. We ended up coming back and buying a new Cadillac CTS due to the great price quoted to us via email (at our request). A couple of small issues were resolved without difficulty. This was a unexpected outcome and we love the car. We'll be bringing our Equinox here for servicing also.

onI had a great experience with the dealership. They made sure I was always satisfied and they handle all of my concerns very well. I loved that they were very down to earth and pleasant. The greeting clerks at the front have very good customer service skills. ELR Purchase Experience

onI had a good experience overall. A couple of items that you could work on in the future would be helpful. The wait time was nearly 6 hours, most of which was a result of outdated lease paperwork, detailing and the delivery area being blocked by another vehicle. The salesman and I had the deal pretty much worked out on the phone, so there was really no "dealing" time. It would have also been nice to have been offered a snack or drink. I realize that is picky, but 6 hours was a long wait. That being said. I found everyone that I dealt with, from sales, showroom, accessories shop, management and detail shop to be genuinely friendly and helpful during my whole experience.
