Easy, excellent car-buying experience

Was able to ask, talk, negotiate completely over the phone before coming in! Love that! Carley and Luca were extremely efficient and professional. Very easy to work with. Trustworthy. Luca gave excellent instruction on all gadgets, controls, display, driving, etc.

Nightmare. We thought we had the best buying experience for our son's new car - Anthony made us feel so well taken care of. Even obtaining NC registration and license plates. We didn't find out till 2 months later that Modern Subaru of Boone somehow managed to register and plate the vehicle without adding it to the insurance policy we provided them with. Since they registered the car and provided license plates, we never dreamed that our son was driving an uninsured vehicle (he is insured on all our other vehicles on the policy provided to Boone.) Two months later, our son had a major accident and is out $33,000 for the vehicle and will probably be sued by the other drivers. Thank you, Modern Subaru of Boone! And - they won't tell us how they registered an uninsured vehicle and released it from their lot. So NCDMV will have to tell us.

I cannot begin to rave enough about the AMAZING experience I had at Modern. After an nightmarish attempt to shop at the local dealer, Modern went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. The entire process and all encounters were highly transparent, clear, and compassionate. Joe Toliver came in ON HIS DAY OFF to process the deal that we had communicated, and Kayla Poole was an absolute gem answering all my (MANY) questions quickly. Every single step of the process with Modern was seamless! Thank you; we will be back!

First, Kayla & Joe did a fantastic job connecting with me via email and STAYING connected for over 5 months before the timing to purchase was right. Upon arrival, Joe patiently helped me to find the car I could LOVE to drive while staying within my car budget. When I say patient I really mean PATIENT as I am pretty finicky about the little things! He worked with me until I was happy (and secure) with my car choice without pressuring me at all to rush my decision. For the first time EVER buying a vehicle, I had an amazing experience from beginning to end. Do yourself a favor and GO to Modern Subaru in Boone, NC and see Joe Toliver for your next vehicle. My experience buying from Modern Subaru was far above average and what I experienced at other dealerships. When shopping online, it was very clear where a vehicle was located. Some dealers hide that information or make it difficult to determine where it is located. Modern treated us professionally.

The guys are always attentive, responsive, respectful, and prompt. I never have an issue and always trust when they tell me something needs to be done. I am glad I can trust my local dealership's service department. I prefer to always take my car to the dealership for service. I like that you can make appointments online and the waiting area is always clean and stocked with sodas, baked goods from one of the local bakeries, and they have a great coffee bar. Makes the wait more enjoyable. LOL.

I was not sure that I wanted to trade and Aaron Verholek knew that. He did NOT pressure me into a trade however because of his patience I was able to make up my mind and eventually decided that I did in fact want to trade. He explained everything in a professional manner but was also friendly and caring. I bought my last car from him and will buy my next...but not for another ten years!
