Duped and Lied

by Nariii1 on 05/10/2018

Unfortunately there is no 0 star possible, which is what this dealership deserves. Never step inside this store. The internet sales person (Stacia) gave us a stock and a price on a Nissan Rogue SV- Premium package around 4.30PM and suggested that we should come that same night to talk to her sales folks. We got there at 7,00 PM based on our phone conversation. They made us wait for 45mts to inform us that they do not have the car and that it was sold and it pulled out of lot just when we entered. What a lie!!! Do they not have to do any prep work, paper work? Assuming they had sold, should they not have the courtesy to call and let me know not to come? I had to drive close to an hour to get their at 7PM. Stay away from their sales team and the internet sales team. All are a bunch of liars. Very unprofessional folks. Besides they gave me a price on another car that is expected in the next couple of weeks which was way off the price they had quoted, for a comparable MSRP. Regarding the lease price, they are out of their mind. Never believe them. Just stay away from this dealership. If you use them, do not go their till they send you some sort of confirmation in writing with regard to the price of purchase or lease. Bunch of [non-permissible content removed]. Specially Stacia who is their internet sales person.

Certified Pre-Owned scam

by jdogNJ1 on 04/30/2017

Brother-in-law needed a car to get to work. We went shopping only for a Certified Pre-Owned car. Pine belt Nissan had one on the lot, It had the window paper showing it CPO. The salesmen brought us a bunch of papers showing a long check-list and car-fax indicating it was Certified Pre-Owned. We thought the price was a bit high so we went on-line and a person working at another location of Pine Belt told us a better price which was "out the door". An appointment was setup. When picking up the car the dealer wanted an additional 495 dollars for the certified paper.and we refused because it wasn't the deal. The dealer refused to enter the car balance of existing warranty. and refused the CPO saying that now the car became an "as-is-sale: We called Nissan corporate and they opened a case because they didn't understand why the dealer was behaving is such a bad manner. This was the first and last time we will ever purchase a Nissan. A bunch of [non-permissible content removed]!

Try another dealer..

by Amy0618 on 08/09/2016

The sale of the car was fine. The rest was down hill. My car was certified preowned. I was told they would call me when they got the spare key from the old owner in a couple weeks. Its a month later. I had to call the sales person he said he'd call me back and never did. I had to call and ask if my registration came in and I was told "yea, its been here". I have never bought a car that they didn't contact me when all my stuff came in. I wouldn't recommend them. They sell you the car and want nothing to do with you after that.

Get your car fax

by michael232 on 02/29/2016

Bought two cars from this location. Just went in today to buy my third car from there. Went to get my trade in value which by the way wasn't the same as there quote on their website. Gave me a offer 4000 under what I owed and informed me my car was in two accidents. Both these accidents were not disclosed by pine belt Nissan sales manager during the purchase in 2012. Asked for the car fax when I purchased it and was assured that everything was fine. They will even take advantage of a loyal customer. Do yourself a favor find a new dealership.

I wish there was a 0 star rating

by StarDrivin789 on 07/21/2015

What a waste of time... The internet salesman Joe would call me incessantly 3 times a day until I finally called him back to say I was only looking & still had several months left on my lease. He convinced me that getting out of my lease early was exactly what PineBelt did. Of course that was a completely different story once I wasted gas, tolls, extra miles and my entire morning going down there only to find out I wasn't going to be sitting with Joe who knew my whole story I was to sit with someone else who knew nothing of my story and who would not take my lease early with no payments from me and did not honor my true car discount. I hope Joe the internet salesman is pleased with his commission from lying to me just to get me to come in. Total waste of time.

Deceived and Tricked

by ManojPradhan on 01/31/2015

Unfortunately there is no 0 star possible or -10 star possible I leased a new 2015 Pathfinder SL Tech from this dealer on January 10th, 2015. While negotiating the price of the vehicle, we had come to an agreement that the dealer will install a Dual DVD Head restraint entertainment system and roof rails inclusive in the deal, however, the accessories weren't in stock and would had to be installed a week later. After the accessories were installed, I found out that Dual DVD Head restraint is an aftermarket product rather than a Nissan product while the roof rail was Nissan product. The installed DVD monitors do not function the same way as was perceived by me in Nissan's website and advertisements, and the installed DVD monitors do not match the rest of interior of the car and hence spoils both functionality and look. Upon taking up the matter with the dealership, I was told that the deal was originally done with an aftermarket product, however, they accepted that it was their fault of not informing me of the same. Note that roof rails installed were Nissan though, however, strange. They refuse to install Nissan DVD monitors, and asked me to pay extra $1000 to get that instead. They are offering to match the color of the head restraint with the rest of the seat and claiming that the installed product should behave just like Nissan product, which is not the case. I had also involved Nissan consumer affairs who could not resolve the case and to them dealership told that if I paid $800 extra they would install Nissan DVD monitors, something is really fishy here. Besides they are tricking me to pay extra for something which I was already tricked into believing that I had already paid for. This has caused me endless agony and sleepless night. I feel deceived and now I feel stuck with a car which doesn't fit all my requirements for next 35 months. And, since they have accepted that they didn't inform me (withheld information) about the product being aftermarket at the first place, it's their responsibility to mend it. It's an implicit understanding of all the customers that the accessory they find in manufacturer's website and ask the dealer to install during a new car purchase will always be OEM. Stay away from this dealership. And if you are unfortunate enough to land yourself there, make sure you get every nickle and dime and nut and bolt mentioned in paper works. These are very clever people you are dealing with, so be extra cautious. The DVD monitors they got me installed, cannot be played with the in-dash DVD player, and I am not sure how on earth they expect my small kids to load, change tracks to enjoy the movies their daddy got them. While the Nissan product that I had seen and believed purchasing, can be played individually or via in-dash DVD, both. The sales person was Steve Lanman and his sales manager Nick Cataldo (who in fact is the most rude person I met in my entire life) These people donot understand what it means to be a customer and how customer satisfaction and after sales experience is important for any business. We have, in fact, already advised couple of friends who were in talks with this dealership, against it, and they have turned to Edison Nissan. And I am sure, me and my social circle will continue doing that in future.

Unprofessional and not trustworthy

by worker2 on 10/03/2014

There is too much to list to explain my experience but here is just a taste. I have purchased many cars new and used and felt I was being cheated, taken advantage of, and the honesty/actions of the management was unprofessional. If I didn'’t question their actions, I would have paid more than necessary. Usually the starting point for negotiation is the listed price and then goes down from there. Somehow, when they presented me with their counter offer in writing, the starting point was $600 above the listed price. Not the verbal agreement. I disputed this offer and a manager came over in an attempt to "“close the deal"”. The sales manager read the dealership disclaimer that the dealership can "change the price without notice"”. This was uncalled for and I told them to tear up my paperwork that the deal was off. After disputing their actions I received a sale price $500 below the listed price. There were issues with the certification as well. The tire tread depth has to be minimum of 5/32. The sales manager agreed that the tire tread was questionable and agreed to replace two tires. The two tire replacement was taken off the deal at the end and the car was sold as is(unprofessional again). According to the certification the wipers were replaced. When I turned them on, the right wiper was broken and worn. My advice is to stay away from this dealership. If you have to use them, make sure you do your homework before you go. Also, check everything before you sign. I will NOT return to this dealership. Nissan is a good product but there are many other dealerships in the area that will treat you better.

Excellent Service

by nikkicdm1 on 09/07/2014

We recently purchased our new vehicle from Keyport Nissan. Our salesman, Bob S was not only exceptional at his job, but his customer service skills were outstanding. I highly recommend asking for him when you are ready to purchase your vehicle. The staff at this dealership are all top notch. It is the only place I will tell friends to go when they want the best of the best!

Great Experience with Nick C

by jen23750 on 08/07/2014

I went to Pine Belt Nissan to purchase a new car. I worked with Nick and his associate. They both treated me with respect and actually listened to what I wanted. There was no pushy up selling. Nick worked with me to select the right financing plan for me and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. It was truly a painless experience. I left the dealership with exactly what I was looking for. The staff of Pine Belt Nissan exceeded my expectations.

Stereotypical car saleman - bait, switch and lie

by evalinotti on 08/26/2013

Bought our first Quest for this dealership in 2003. Went back again to purchase a 2nd in 2008. This time they agreed to give us $2000 for a trade in and offered us a 5 year warranty. They called a day later saying even though the contracts were signed they wanted to lower the trade in value (I was dumb enough to agree). Three years later a piece of trim flies off the car. I take it to the dealership confident it was covered under the warranty. The service tech said the warranty expired then went on to explain that the warranty I was sold was for 5 years from original date of purchase - in other words I paid for a five year warranty that only covered three years. One of the reps had the nerve to say he didn't have time to deal with it. Buyer beware - this is not the place to shop for cars

Bait and Switch Trick!

by Mare2013 on 12/12/2012

Was quoted an internet price for a 2013 Nissan Maxima. I specifically asked in my emails if this was the price for a 2013 and the response was yes! Arrived at the dealership, drove the car, was ready to buy and after waiting while a discussion took place between the manager and sales agent was told we were misquoted. This was a price for a 2012 Maxima, not a 2013, and they would sell us the 2013 for $2500 more. I had my emails that specifically stated this was the price for a 2013 but it did not matter. This type of bait and switch tactic left a bad taste in our mouths. We left without a new car and they lost good customers. We bought our last Maxima there and had no problem but will never go back again.

Great experience!!!!!

by mrizzo on 07/25/2012

We leased our Nissan Rogue at Pine belt. It was our first lease so we had a lot of questions. Joe Aker & Nick Cataldo were great. They answered all our questions and gave us a great deal. It was worth the trip from Staten Island. We would recommend this dealership to everyone.

BEST BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER!!

by sherrilynn71 on 07/13/2012

I cannot say enough good things about this dealership. 5 stars all the way! This is my second new car purchase from salesman Tommy G. He is an honest and great salesman. I also have to say I was extremely impressed with the manager Mike. He was not a "behind the scene" manager. He actually came out and introduced himself and tried to work with me on the best price for the truck. He gave me a great deal and was super pleased with his professionalism as well as his kindness. NEVER had a dealt with a manager so wonderful before! A+ buying experience all the way. Will definitely recommend anyone to this dealership. Thanks again to Tommy and Mike. GREAT TEAM!

I ran into some great people.

by jclay129 on 07/10/2012

First off, Rich W, Mike, and Rob were all great. I had a wonderful time buying my car. They are funny, down to earth people and I found that very refreshing. I got a great deal on a new 2012 rogue and I also had a blast.

I recently purchased a used 2005 Jeep Liberty from this dealership. My sales person, Jon, really helped answer all my questions and made sure I knew anything good or bad about the vehicle. He is new to the team and I felt his sales ethic and knowledge was exceptional! I would definately recommend this dealership and Jon to friends and family who plan on buying/leasing vehicles in the future. Thamk you, I love my new (used) truck!!

Entire staff was professional and friendly

by littleannie610 on 06/28/2012

When I arrived at the dealership, my husband and I were greeted by Walter. At first we thought "another pushy salesman". But once we started talking with him, we realized he actually cared about our concerns. I never had a car payment before and I was nervous about taking on this responsibility, and Walter took his time with me in selecting the right car that would fit my needs, and my budget. Walter worked hard to get me the price that worked for me. His manager Nick came out and again we thought "here comes the pressure". But again we were pleasantly surprised. Nick was also calm and concerned, and between the two of them, they were able to work out a great deal for me. This dealership is very customer friendly, and I would highly recommend dealing with the staff there. I will buy my next car from Pine Belt Nissan. Thanks again guys. Annie W.

Thank You Pine Belt!

by smarks1969 on 06/28/2012

As a life long resident of Southern Ocean County, it was hard to not recognize the Pine Belt name when it comes to buying cars... But after moving to Matawan this year, I wasn't sure where I was now going to get my 2007 Nissan Maxima serviced. After seeing a Pine Belt commercial on TV, I was thrilled to see that there is a Pine Belt store in Keyport! I had never noticed that before. I stopped in last week, and while my car was having the oil changed, I browsed the showroom because I really like the look of the newer Maxima . I struck up a conversation with a sales person, Walter, and was taking a test drive. Walter gave me some information on leasing the vehicle (which I had never done before) and also an idea on the trade value of my car. He never pressured me and respected that I wanted to take a few days to think about it. This week, I made an appointment and ended up taking the new Maxima home. There was a "No Money Down" thing going on... But, by putting my trade down, Walter got my payment even lower than the advertised lease price. Quick & easy... I was glad to not be stuck in the dealership all day, too. I'd highly recommend Pine Belt in Keyport. They even deducted the price of my 2007 Maxima oil change from the new car.

Painless Purchase

by nikki3108 on 06/28/2012

When I entered the showroom I was greeted by a verry polite and enthusiastic salesman (Joe Aker). I was not sure what type of car I was looking for. After a polite introduction he asked a few questions as far as what I was looking for in a car.Within about ten minutes we found the perfect car that fit every definition of what i was looking for. The vehicle that we found was a bit more than my budget would allow. Joe told me that as long as we found the right car the hard part was over... He was right. When he explained the budget to his sales manager Nick Cataldo, they said that they would do everything in their power to make it work for me. And they did... They were very understanding of what my budget would allow and based the price on my budget to make it work for me. Between Joe Aker, Nick Cataldo, and Rich Willis, they made this the most pleasant purchase I have ever made. They have gained a customer for life...

Grest Experience at Dealership

by vicferrari on 06/27/2012

I contacted the dealership with a price quote request on a 2012 Rogue S. Mike responded back with a very competitive price quote on the vehicle. When I spoke to him he was very upfront in the pricing of the vehicle and me comfortable to visit the dealership. Once I arrived at the dealership, Mike had me speak with Rocco. Mike explained to Rocco that I was looking for a 2012 Rogue S and mentioned to him the pricing information that was discussed. Rocco was very professional in showing me the vehicle I wanted to purchase. Once I decided on the exact vehicle. We finalized the deal quickly. I was driving my new 2012 Rogue home within the hour.

Honesty and Respect

by bmacc152 on 06/27/2012

The respect that pine belt had for my time was truly amazing. The majority of the deal was done on line and when I showed up to the dealer the car was ready. They explained every featured that came with my Altima and all I had to do was sign the paperwork and drive it home. In all my years of buying cars, this was the best experience I have ever had at a car dealer.
