Tumminia Mazda

They sold me a vehicle with a safety issue. My tires could have blown out, and not only hurt me, but could have caused a fatality accident. I sent an email, and got a read receipt, but no response as of yet!!! My control arms were resting on the tires and gouging into them when I drove. In surprised that they have not blown yet. But it is a ticking time bomb. Wondering how they got this to pass an inspection...

We relocated back to the US and were pressed for time and purchased a Mazda CX-5 Touring from Tumminia Mazda. We wanted two features on the car - a backup camera and Sirius XM radio. We were assured by our salesperson our car had both. Upon purchasing the car and trying to activate the Sirius XM radio we learned the 2016 Touring model does not have this despite the menu item being present and better yet can never be added. Upon contacting the dealership we were offered a $150 dollar check to cover a 1 year subscription to Sirius XM to be used via our phone. A marginal offer. Justin Beats at Tumminia was most unhelpful and blamed this issue on us. Saying we should have known the Touring did not have Sirius XM despite their sales person saying it did. We should have done the research. I've done research now and Mazda has a training problem because Tumminia is not the only dealership to make this mistake. Other impacted customers received upgraded cars or other offers significantly better than ours - again I'm sure this was our fault because I had to leave the country again and could not properly follow up. My advice is to do your research very well before purchasing anything from Tumminia because their sales people obviously need additional training and you'll be stuck with the result.

We downsized from a '01 Chrysler T&C to a '12 Mazda5 Touring w/automatic. We were shocked the car had all the dash work for satellite radio yet it was an option requiring their staff to tear the dash apart and install it. Same w/fog lights. Our transaction was decent but we make no illusions about the dealership coming out better than us.

My girlfriend and I searched for a new car for well over a year. My girlfriend had owned a Honda for 12 years and was being very selective and conservative. After looking at tons of vehicles during the better part of a year, she finally narrowed down the search. During our first visit we met Ernie Tumminia the owner. He was very nice, patient and helpful man. The sales reps were busy so he helped us until one freed up. Basically my girlfriend was a tire kicker at this point but dealership was very helpful. We test drove a couple of cars without pressure, ultimately she decided to wait but we remembered we felt comfortable with them so when the time came to finally buy we returned. They had a good selection, offered to find other models and after coming back a couple more times we finally got serious. They gave us great deal that no other dealer would make. Ernie earned our business. I won't go into specifics but it was a very good deal. We encountered no pressure fom the finance manager and found him to be very informative. All in all, it was a pleasant experience and I'd recommend this dealership. It's amazing my girlfriend actually bought a car after driving the same one for 12 years and this is a testimate to how they worked with us.

I won't go back there EVER!!! Granted my bad experience was my own fault for the most part, but to treat your customers that way is just wrong. 1st off, they under priced my trade in considerably, They offered me $17,000 for my car and told me they would only be able to sell it for maybe $18000. Of course now it sits on their lot for $22,000. (which just so you know is more than I paid for it a year and 20,000 mile ago.) Secondly the car I did buy just wasn't what we were looking for, and I realize I was going to lose some money over the deal, but I hadn't even made the 1st payment on it yet, and we might have put 400 miles on it. They offered us $3000 under what we paid for it. Knowing they are still going to sell it for basically what we paid for it. What a RIP OFF!!! Car max offered me the same price along with Nissan. They told me I 'd get more money if I took it back to Mazda... NOT!!! Apparently Mazda don't stand behind their product either!!!

This is the second vehicle we have bought in the last five years from Tumminia. We bought a Mazda CX-9. I had to bargain a little with the sales team, but it was not adversarial and we quickly reached a good deal on the trade-in and purchase price. The prior vehicle I bought was when they had a Mercury dealership in Olathe. We have several friends that have bought Mazdas from Tumminia, and they have all been pleased. I like the stability of dealing with the same sales person, used car manager, finance manager and service manager that have all been with the dealership for many years. I have confidence that if we have a problem they will take care of it.

I went in to just look at the new Mazda 3. Didn't know much about them at all, and a new style looked good. I went in just to get a brochure and to get some pricing, cause I didn't want any sales pressure. I got my info and they offered me a test drive while I was there. Martin Garrett was the sales guy I worked with, took me on a great test drive and showed me why this in a Sports Car!! When we got back he just asked if I had more questions and let me leave. I was really surprised they didn't try and pressure me to buy right then, I did get to meet the Todd Tummina. And they are right in there commercials "They will see you on the showroom floor!" he really was there. Martin followed up with me a few days later and asked if I had questions and I did, the answers he didn't have he got for me. I came in on Saturday and brought me trade in with me. Martin introduced me to Justin Beats the sales manager and Terry Hays their Used car manager, and they helped put together a great deal for me!! In fact Justin was able to lower my payment from what I was currently paying. I just wished I would have purchased my first car from them, this is the dealership I will recommend my friends and family to buy cars from, and I will continue to buy cars from them, and have my service done by them also. If any one from there dealership reads this review, Thank You for everything!!

Todd, Ernie and the rest were great to work with. Bought Mazda 3 and got fair price, super friendly service, and many "thanks" for doing business with them. I really felt they wanted my business. Service department (Don) has been a real gem. Unfortunately the car has had a couple of issues and he's been right on them. Terrific communication between the dealership and the customer. I can't think of anything they could have done better. I'll be back for a Mazda 6 soon!

Purchased a brand new Mazda and was never told of additional taxes and fees. Was rushed through the paperwork. Hit with an additional $600 bill after contract signing and told they would not release my tags to me until I paid it. Sales rep, business manager, and owner were all unsympathetic, unapologetic, and quick to place blame on each other for a "mis-communication." Very upset with the buying experience due to these undisclosed fees and the dealer's apparent lack of concern about the satisfaction of their customers. Stay away. Plenty of other Mazda dealerships in the area.
