Take your business elsewhere!

by chonnie422 on 04/19/2011

I have to agree with the previous poster about the dealership caring about nothing more than $$$. This dealership is bad for business. In fact, if I could rate zero stars, I would. The sales manager is pompous and fits the used car salesman stereotype to a "T". Not only did he belittle the salesman we were working with in front of us, he also didn't seem to be very responsive to several questions we had. In this economy you would think they would be eager to sell a car at a fair price. I'm glad our deal fell through because I can only imagine the issues we would've had with routine service. Spare yourself the time and energy of dealing with these people!!!

Commited to your money, not customer service

by consumer138 on 02/02/2011

Never buy a vehicle from this dealership! They have gone out of their way to look money hungry, because as soon as the money exchanges hands the customer service plummets. I had driven 100 miles to buy a vehicle from this dealership and from the moment that I signed over the money, the service went down hill. The car had chipped paint and when I had asked for the chips to be touched up, I was told that a paint pen "will be sent in the mail." My vehicle was missing the wheel lock key for it and this was a major part of the vehicle since if I were to get a flat tire, all I could do after that point would be to stare at the spare tire. I literally would have been helpless since I wouldn't be able to change the tire. After calling the dealer to get the wheel key, I was told that I would get a call back. Only to receive no phone call. I had to go to a completely different dealership to get any kind of service. The real kicker that pushed this whole experience to hell is that the temp tag that was issued with the vehicle is for 30 days; plenty of time to receive a license plate that you pay $2000 for tax tag a license, right? Wrong! Unless the license plat is encrusted with diamonds, it should have been issued that first week of buying the car. But, now I have a $20,000 vehicle that I can no longer drive because the tags have expired and I still need to get to work! Just another example of how someone at Pete Moore is not doing their job. Is Pete Moore gonna front the bill for the rental car that I need to get to work now, or do I wait till I get a ticket for expired tags and have the Police Officer address the ticket to them?!?! Save your self the trouble if you're in the market for a new vehicle. I'd rather have a root canal than deal with this business ever again! Everything that I must have been promised must still be "in the mail."

Beware of retracting statements

by jeremy32 on 10/27/2010

Well, let me put it this way get everything in writing before signing " oh we'll take care of that before you buy" yeah right all you'll get is " no i didn't say that!". Whatever waste of time dealing with the salesman, finance guy John Cramer is a stand up guy no b.s. with that man straight shooter.

Pete Moore Imports (Volkswagen) Great Deals - Great Dealer

by cody3764 on 03/22/2010

I just purchased a 2010 Jetta TDI Cup Edition from Pete Moore Imports (Volkswagen Dealership) in Pensacola, Florida this past Saturday. To say I stole the car might be pretty much in line with what I paid. They blew the other 35 dealers on the east coast away that I was inquiring with on TDI's for the past month of research on them. I traveled 1,000 miles round trip to trade out my old car and pick up the new Jetta and I was smiling the whole time at the tremendous amount of money I was saving. :) The new car manager at Pete Moore Imports told me they have 17 Jetta Sportwagons TDI's in the pipeline to be delivered to them if you are looking for these models as they are scarce right now. Pete Moore Imports is a volume dealer meaning yes they come off MSRP and more than they stated I could share here online as they do not want to embarrass any other Volkswagon dealerships. What they quoted me for my trade and what the ridiculous price was for their Jetta TDI Cup Edition is exactly what I was given for my trade and the cost of their TDI. No gimmicks when I arrived to do the paperwork and no they do not add crazy dealer fees etc added to the sticker. :D Their dealer doc fee is $299 and Florida has a document stamp fee of around $120. My internet salesman, Bruce Harmon, told me that Mr. Moore pretty much owns his two dealerships outright and this is why they do not have a lot of overhead and they are able to deal more than most Volkswagen dealerships below MSRP and even on the popular TDI models. If TDI's are your passion, then definitely get in touch with Bruce Harmon a call and tell him you want a deal like Dan from South Carolina just received. ;) :) Happy TDI Trails.

Bad, bad experience

by hhh3 on 05/26/2008

I am so disappointed in Pete Moore Volkswagen in Pensacola, FL. As a long time resident of this part of the Gulf Coast as well as a 3-time VW owner - I really suggest going to Mobile or maybe Tallahassee if you want good service & prices. [violative content deleted] My main complaint is them quoting me, after dozens of back-and-forth, a ballpark figure for my newer, excellent condition trade-in, then getting out there (almost 46 miles roundtrip) to find they never did any research on my trade-in, never made any calls or looked at any figures as their salesman had implied. They basically blew smoke up my a** to get me out there just to say "Oops - looks like we can offer you $3,000 less than we quoted you." Then bring the manager over who called me 'sweetheart' and beat around the bush with, "What if we COULD get you what we quoted you?" and "What were your payments on the trade-in?" And all sorts of other tomfoolery... My opinions is that they quoted me a price and I'd been working with their salesman for over a week and they knew the trade-in was the only roadblock to buying their vehicle so why mess around? Why waste my time? And WHY on God's green Earth would they use terms like 'sweetheart' to an independent female client who is trying to make a business deal with them? All around it was a terrible experience and I'll never visit Pete Moore again. Side note to women who don't want to be treated like idiots or spoken down to: I REALLY suggest avoiding this dealership.
