This dealership is a NIGHTMARE

This dealership is the WORST. We purchased a vehicle from them in May 2015 and were promised a replacement window visor at the time of purchase. Told for MONTHS that it was on order and that we'd be reimbursed for our inconvenience with gas cards and oil changes. Finally spoke with someone about 3 weeks ago and were then told the part was NEVER ordered but they'd place the order now and to expect a call back. No phone call, still no free oil changes or gas cards. I've left voicemails/spoken with various contacts 1-2 dozen times with no resolution and continuous lies that our concerns will be addressed. On my last attempt to resolve this told the Business Manager (via voicemail) they had 2 days to find ANY solution or I'd contact the Better Business Bureau. This was about 2 weeks ago and I'm contacting the BBB today. Wouldn't recommend Grossman Nissan to my worst enemy.

Used Altima

If you are thinking about a new or used car purchase, stop here first, you wont be disappointed. No pressure sales, outstanding, helpful and knowledgeable staff. I've been coming here for 15 years and have not had any bad experiences. The service department is great, with very good coffee in the waiting area. The finance and management team are superior and will strive to get you the best deal possible. Thank you EJ for all your help on the sales side, you did a great job! Ken D.

Leasing a new vehicle.

Recently leased a new Nissan Rogue from Grossman Nissan dealership in Old Saybrook. This is my second time leasing a new car from this dealership and I am extremely happy with them. Jon Locastro and Mary Kate Are very professional and a pleasure to deal with. I also took my last car there for service all the time and all the people in the service department are wonderful. I would highly recommend this dealership to everyone.

Nice Experience! If customer service is important to you, your search will end at Grossman's. From my first online contact with Jym, to Andy's input and assistance. And the wonderful service and attention from Robin Sloop, actually this deal happened because of Robin, her patience and understanding of my concerns were the key, she was the difference. So thanks again Robin, and to the entire Grossman team. Truly a nice experience.

Buying our new Rogue from John L

We could not be more pleased with the attention John gave us throughout this experience, from our test drive, to ordering, to delivery, no pressure, no BS, just extremely accommodating. When we had a concern or question he either handled it himself or appropriately asked someone else for their expertise. He handled the whole experience very professionally, dotting all 'i's and crossing all 't's, never rushing or pushing. It is our perception that John is doing his job to make the consumer happy and to offer them a good fit and a satisfactory result not to push cars out the door. Thanks John, highly appreciated.

Love my new 2014 Sentra!

I just purchased a new 2014 Sentra, and I can honestly say that I so far love the car!! I was taken care of by Micheal P; he was a tremendous help, he was not pushy, he was honest and I believe I got a great deal. He went above and beyond measure to make sure I was satisfied. I was impressed, the Grossman Team is very friendly and I proud to call myself a Nissan owner. I am happy with the car, it's a great fit for me, a good warranty. I was torn between a Nissan/Kia I am glad I went with Nissan, the car is great on gas too! (that's a plus nowadays) you will get great customer service and a helpful visit, ask for Mike! :)

They Are The Ones

for me that is and possibly for you. I live in New York and searched for a particular used luxury vehicle with specific requirements to suit my needs. I went to dealerships, test drove, ran reports, searched online for about a year. The fact that I went out of my way to buy at Grossman in Connecticut tells all. I was impressed by truthfullness of representation of vehicle in all details. Everything I had requested regarding the vehicle was responded to with promptness and accuracy. In my humble opinion Linda Grossman, General Sales Manager, is way above her peers when it comes to honesty and follow-through. She says what she means and means what she says. Bottom line. Don't expect miracles. Selling cars is a tough business and buying cars is a tough business Do your due diligence. I love the car I bought from them and wouldn't hesitate to consider their dealership again.

Bought a new XTerra

Ask for Johnny L. He was very nice; low pressure; I even got a good deal on financing. You have to dicker on price and trade-in value, but that's the same anywhere. The only complaint I have is that the truck's battery failed after 3 months and the service department didn't have a rental car available for a week. I found that pretty impossible to believe, so I called Johnny L. I had to speak with the owner to fully get my frustration understood, but she sent Johnny L to my house to drop off a loaner car while he took my XTerra back to get a new battery. So I'm probably never bringing her in for service at Grossman, but I would definately buy a new truck from them.

No pressure!!

I bought a New Nissan Versa from Grossman's and I LOVE MY CAR!! Thanks to the staff at Grossman's I bought a car that I can handle and afford. My sales person was very helpful in finding the "right" car for me. While I was shopping for my car I felt comfortable asking questions even the dumb ones. All my questions were answered either right there on the spot or followed up with a phone call. With the help of the Sales Manager and the Finance Manager I was able to get a good deal on the car and easy financing. The Finance department was excellent at making sure my payments were within my budget and that my payments were set up for me without any hassel. My overall experience was excellent and I am now heading back there to look for another car for a family memeber!!

top notch staff blew me away!!! what a great store

I just bought my first new car....a 2010 Nissan altima, from Grossman Nissan. It was the best experience, so much better than i expected. I submitted a quote request online, got a great price within minutes, and the car was in stock. I checked the price against Edmunds and it was in line. They got my financing done in like an hour and I picked it up that night! When I got there, the entire staff was very friendly and helpful. Someone even helped take my rusty screws off my old license plate. The salesman, Jay, did an awesome job showing me the car and the financing was very quick and easy, not what i read it was going to be. There was no high pressure, just straight forward, friendly people. I met the service manager and he taught me a bunch of things about the car. I will definitely go back and will definitely send my friends!

--Would not recommend Grossman Nissan--

Bought a car from Grossman Nissan. I probably should blame myself for going through with the purchase- a certified preowned 2006 nissan. Hopefully the car works out- but I will definitely not be back to purchase another vehicle from them, nor will I let them service my current vehicle. I don't have any faith in what they say or do, and found them misleading and downright dishonest. There's probably many dealerships like Grossman, but not all; the salesman wines and dines you, talks everything up nice and cool... then the finance guy takes over at purchase and fast talks/gives you the runaround. I got a bad vibe- I almost walked- and should have. Finance guy tried to laundry list some items on the final signing- quickly running down the list; he tried to rush it as he knew that "VIN window etching" (where the VIN is etched on the windows for theft "protection") was listed as optional, and tried to have me sign without disclosing the . a couple hundred bucks I would have paid... Funny thing is- the car already HAD the windows etched. So they were basically trying to have me pay for a service they would not have performed- this is, in my mind AKIN TO STEALING, or more accurately, FRAUD. I should've walked out. The car was "delivered to me" later that day- as they were slow on readying it. To top it all off, they didn't even fill the tank. a five figure car, and they can't fill the the tank more than 2/3's full. I will try to avoid Grossman Nissan at all costs- unless there is a problem with the vehicle I bought from them.

Very Poor Customer Service!

on 4/25/09 i test drove a used 2006 BMW 525xi from this dealer. i asked the salesperson after the test drive if there was a second key and a owner's manual for the vehicle. i was told it was with the paperwork for the car. so we proceeded to sign all the contracts and i purchased the car that day. we then scheduled delivery for 4/30/09 at 6pm to be delivered at my house. on that day i was told that they dropped the car off around 4pm. i was not present to accept the vehicle and complete the delivery test-drive. therefore i could not look over the car and approve. when i got home, the floor mats were dirty and there was dust on the dashboard. no interior detail was appeared to be done (only exterior). i was told then that the owner's manual was forgotten by mistake and it would be in the mail. it is now 5 days later and i have received nothing. the touch-up paint was also said to be on back-order which a local BMW dealer have confirmed that is not the case. as for the second key, i then talked to the GM at Grossman Nissan. she stated that a second key would not be made because there was no extra funds from the sale due to sale price and the nature of the cost of the key from the dealer. i was told at the beginning that there was a second key. they then said if another similar vehicle came accross in the future they would take the spare key and provide it to me, which doesn't help because it is not programmed to my vehicle and i would have to pay for that. i had the option to buy a vehicle from anywhere. i shosse this place because i felt i was getting treated right at the beginning. this have proved NOT to be the case and i am very unsatisfied with the customer service from this dealership.
