Just got a 2007 Mazda5 Sport manual

Just got a Sport manual through Congressional Motors in Rockville, MD - 17.1K + TTL. Worked through the internet department - very helpful and quick to quote. Though they did send me an e-mail 3 days after picking it up that would have knocked another $200 off the price :( Love the car so far - people call it underpowered but they must not have driven my 97 Protege and its 92 horsepower 4 - now that's underpowered. :) I'm struck by how high the car actually sits - it's a good 10" taller than the Protege.

Due to an accident our plans for a new car at the end of the year were thwarted. My husband and daughter were hit by someone making an illegal left 9 days ago. My husband fell in love with the 5's concept that afternoon, I think. We keep our cars forever and, like lots of others, I'd prefer a khaki/tan interior...and to have the other glitches resolved. But we test drove a Sport last Wed. We did some email requests for quotes but out of half dozen, got just one serious and careful reply with an actual quote. The rest were calls. Visited another Rockville MD's Congressional Motors yesterday and test drove the Touring @ 19,550. After some back and forth, dropped the deal on that and switched to a Sport (from another dealer). They agreed to match a competitor's price after I showed them the printout. But still wanted to add freight to everything. Eventually dropped the Sport's freight and later on the Touring we drove. That got us to 17982. Unlike another Mazda purchase, we were not asked to pay bogus fees,purchase an extended warranty and other tedious stuff.

i purchased my 2004 mpv lx from congressional mazda in rockville md.got everything i wanted plus some-titanium gray, lx plus,sport pkg,tc,side airbags,wheel locks and (hear is the plus)a dvd player.dealership was running a "this week only sale" msrp $27150 sale $22150.my otd price was $23009.i had no trade,didnt need to negotiate,and had financing already taken care of(3.79% capital one).i drove 150 miles for this deal.i was expecting some kind of catch when i got there but turns out everything was legit.they had over 50!! mpvs on lot ,mine was on the lot for 88 days!!i love this van,i guess others want the bigger vans but that just helps those of us who know better.
