Worst experience of my life

onWorst experience of my life! I bought a car here 30 days ago. 31 days later, I pull it over to the side of the road because the engine was smoking. Both the thermometer and the water gauge are old, and neither were properly replaced. The radio they installed was wired improperly, so I can't get a signal when I go under a tree or leave the city.
I took it to a AAA mechanic. They had promised when I bought the car that when I get it repaired, they would provide me with a rental. The manager refused to do so, since it's a "courtesy not a right."
They underpay their mechanics 45/hr, which is less than the 75-85/hr industry standard. The work on these cars is cheap and poorly done.
You're better off buying a car from a yard and fixing it up yourself.

It is unfortunate that the vehicle had an issue. Being that it is a used car they are not immune from problems. The "rental" you claimed was promised is in fact a loaner car service to our customers when the vehicle is in OUR shop for repair upon availability. We do not provide our courtesy vehicles to customers utilizing other shops. That is unheard of. The labor rate you are speaking about has nothing to do with the mechanic's pay scale. The low labor rate of $48/hr is to help YOU the customer pay for any out-of-warranty repairs at an affordable price. This was offered to you and you refused it. We are still willing to assist you with your repair.
