Missed one item in work order

by Maicokid on 07/05/2021

People were fine. However, upon returning home the door switch still did not work but other items on work order were Ok. I have to set up an appointment for that again. The no below relates to the previous but not completed items on work order. Reference the survey. The yes/no need to have a NA (Not Applicable) spot because not all YES or NO. Therefore this survey is inaccurate because all YES/NO required a answer otherwise survey would not let you submit,

1st routine maintenance was a snap!

by SewMuchJava on 01/25/2021

The Dave Wright Subaru maintenance technicians completed the first round of maintenance on my 2020 Impreza in less than 1 hour and were very detailed in describing what all was done, and what to expect at the next round of routine maintenance.

Horrible service department

by J D on 03/27/2020

I am not a regular online rater or complainer but feel compelled to write. I don’t write this with a sense of bitterness or malice but with a bit of sadness. I simply want to present experiences and let others reach their own conclusion. I purchased my first Subaru from Dave Wright in 2012 and a second in 2017. Since 2012, I have had my vehicles serviced exclusively by Dave Wright Subaru. What started out as an excellent experience has become something much less satisfying over the past few years. In the spring of 2018, my Subaru was leaking. The technician was unable to find an issue. It continued to leak for another month. I took it back and spoke with Tom, a top notch service advisor who, unfortunately, has since left. A faulty transmission seal was the culprit and repaired under warranty. Next, was a leaking tire. I took it to Dave Wright and, after a few minutes, was told nothing was wrong with the tire. After another week of commuting on 380 and continuing to fill the tire, I took it to Marion Tire where a nail was found. I received and responded to a follow up email from the dealer. That response has yet to be answered. Lastly, I went in for an oil change. I asked the service advisor to quote me a new windshield as mine was cracked. After waiting an inordinate amount of time, I noticed my car sitting in the parking lot. I approached a different advisor who told me he looked for me twice. All the while, I was sitting in the show room. My phone number was front and center on the invoice. It didn’t occur to this young man to call me. I guess he figured I would eventually wonder where my car was and find someone for help! No use making any extra effort. Oh, and no quote on the windshield. For these reasons, I cannot recommend Dave Wright to a friend, family member, colleague . . . or you. But, you are free to make your own choice. I, for one, will not obtain further service at this dealership and because of that, sadly, I will not purchase another Subaru.

Fine place to buy a car

by mpople on 11/17/2013

I've been pretty much all over the country having served in the military. I have also heard it all from "Do you like it or Do you Love It", to "It just feels right". I can honestly say I really didn't think those things were still being said seeing is we are in a new century. Then I drove into Dave Wright and it was pretty apparent that I had arrived at a place I could actually feel comfortable at. Yep, Great place to shop and great sales people. I don't think I'll be changing anytime soon.

Excellent Sales Experience

by pronan on 09/10/2012

Last month my wife and I bought a Subaru Forester at Dave Wright Nissan Subaru. Our salesman, Mike Barnes, was polite, well-informed, and very open. The vehicle we wanted was available and we were able to quickly negotiate a price based on Edmund's recommended value. When we visited the business manager, we were very pleased with his professionalism and expertise. All in all, this was the best car-buying experience I have had. -- Paul Ronan.

Greedy Finance

by gosubaru on 08/10/2011

Bought my first car here, biggest headache ever. My sales guy was great, but when I headed in for financing, things went south. I told the finance guy, Marc, that I only wanted what was left on the original car's warranty (three months left). A few weeks later I got a letter in the mail from Subaru saying "Thanks for purchasing your extended warranty." I looked at my papers, and he marked down for an extended 6 year, 100,000 mile warranty, costing me an extra $2500. Luckily I caught it within 30 days and was able to get a full refund, but i spent an entire day at my new job calling insurance provider, loan offices, and Jim Miller (Dave Wright), and signing and faxing stuff. The worst part, is I was referred here by my parents, and my mom was with me, but Marc was still selfish enough to try and do that to me. I even spoke with the manager, and he tried talking me out of cancelling. Why would I take out a warranty like that on a brand new car?! My insurance covers pretty much everything, and I'm pretty sure my transmission won't fail within the next 6 years. Being a recent college grad, i cant afford to throw around $2500...and they knew that. A few days later, I got a call from Marc. He said they were doing an audit. Turns out every paper I signed had the wrong VIN number on it. Which means i also had to call my insurance and loan offices, and yet another day of emailing, signing, calling, and faxing papers. At this point, I didn't even know if I was driving the same car that I test drove. When Marc asked me what the VIN said on my car, I read it off, and politely asked, "What do your papers read?" He replied, "A different number." This was the worst experience. I love the Subaru, but if i ever get another one, I will go clear across the country to get it if it means not going back here. Take the normal greed you get with a car dealership, and multiply it by 10. That equals the greed coming out of Jim Miller/Dave Wright Nissan Subaru. It is overwhelming when you are signing all the papers. If you are with Marc on financing, read everything he hands you!
