Disappointing

It saddens me to report that my experience with Betten started out great in 2018, so much so that I bought a second vehicle from them in 2020, but it’s been downhill from there. Most recently, my four and a half year old XC90, that I meticulously maintain and serviced with Betten, left me broke down on the side of the road. So, things happen mechanically, no harm there. May be failed turbo or head gasket, but I assume because Betten service can’t tell me, and they aren’t sure they can even look at it for 30 days. I called Betten Volvo service from the side of the road, and the disappointments started there. I received immediate explanations on why Betten may not be able to look at my warrantied vehicle for a month, that they had no solutions for loaner or alternative transport. They gave me a number to global Volvo so I could arrange a tow. I was also told at this time the vehicle was not under warranty, when I had a copy of the warranty Betten sold me with the vehicle brand new. I went to Volvo the next morning to find my vehicle had been left unlocked in the parking lot all night. The service rep was very kind, but had no idea when they could help me. I called daily for a week, and was never given a glimpse of a solution, even after escalating and meeting face to face with the director of service, Eric. Eric also let me know there was no one at Betten who could help me, and he had dozens of customers in the same boat, and I wasn’t special. I have a handful of other poor experiences related to service since 2020 that I have overlooked but things are stacking up! The people working there seem kind enough, but ill equipped to provide the service that drew me in a few years back. Jason in particular has always been helpful, but Eric successfully made me feel like I am not wanted as a customer. I actually had to tow my vehicle from Betten, to another garage, in order to ensure I get my vehicle looked at within 30 days of breakdown since Betten is not be able to look at it. This vehicle is under 100% warranty that was sold to me by Betten. I can’t even begin to express the disappointment regarding how Betten handled my warranty kindly, so I won’t try. Don’t know whether to laugh….or cry, but I do know that Betten and I seem to be in agreement that if I need my car back this month, it need to go somewhere else, even though no one knows what’s wrong with it
