A Pleasure to Deal With

I have bought several cars from dealerships and this was by far one of the smoothest experiences from start to finish. No high-pressure, all customer service. Tim in sales and the Finance Manager both met my needs and sent me off in the car of my dreams! Couldn't be happier.

Alexandria Land Rover was a pleasant surprise in car buying. Kahlil M. was so very polite , patient with a long distance purchase, and very efficient with return calls and paperwork details. My best car buying experience to date . Age 64 !

Whilst Matt reached out to me approximately 2 weeks prior to my arrival to Land Rover Alexandria he was the most professional, thoughtful and caring salesman I have ever experienced. I felt like I may have asked me 1,000 questions and he did NOT mind. Since I am new to the Land Rover family I wanted to ensure I was getting the best for my particular interest and financial obligation as well. He took me through / to at least 3 vehicles before we decided on the Range Rover Evoque which had EVERYTHING I asked for. I could not be more proud of the decision I made to purchase and I'm forever grateful Matt was there to help as well. Kudos to Jimmy for being patient with me during the process, I am grateful he was there to seal the deal.

Called dealer Monday morning and spoke to the sales manager, I believe his name was Max and he mentioned that he would look into the vehicle that I called about because he thought someone may have been interested and possibly not be available. So I got a call back later from Jimmy a sales agent that the car was available and encouraged me to really come out and test drive it. He was so nice and friendly that I responded that I would be in at 3pm the same day. When I entered the showroom, I met Jimmy and he had the car pulled up front and was turned on heating up. I thought that was such a nice gesture. After test driving, we began discussing the sales price and was successfully able to bring the price down some after some back and forth rounds with the finance manager. Then once finalized on the price we proceeded with the financing and met with a WONDERFUL and nice man, Sal. We talked as if we were old distant family members- I told him that he was my long lost cousin. The process went really well and I enjoyed the whole process from beginning to end. Thank you Land Rover dealer of Alexandria, VA.

disappointed with the treatment by dealers

we called to purchase a preowned vehicle from this dealership and were told that preference would go to someone coming in later today to look at it versus someone ready to purchase this morning. we told them we were willing to pay full asking price for the car and they told us that the lady who does the numbers was out today and there was nothing they could do to help us. no help from the dealer all the way up to the general manager, fred shepard. cannot believe dealerships like this are still out there, especially a high-end dealership such as land rover.

You Deserve Better

Buyer Beware! After spending several days negotiating via phone and email and making a deposit, I drove from NJ to the dealership to pick up my 2013 Range Rover Sport with less than 10K miles and advertised as in "new" condition. Upon arrival and inspection of the car, I found an undisclosed significant hole in the middle of the backseat leather. Of course, it not been disclosed. Disappointed, I knew they had a second Sport for a few hundred dollars more so to remedy the time invested, I moved towards that car. Smelling blood, the sales manager changed the price by several thousand dollars claiming the dealership had more invested in the car, but couldn't substantiate it with service records of invoices. Six hours later, I left with the car, not the car I came for, but a car nonetheless. My introduction to Range Rover was the most painful car buying experience ever. Just plain unethical, poor service, bait and switch sales tactics. Worse, registration paperwork didn't come for six weeks and to date, I haven't received the second key to the car which was promised within a week of my purchase at end of November. These cars are now at the top of their game. You're better off buying from a dealership better than this one!

I bought a used 4Runner from them in March 2010. Purchase went smoothly, I negotiated a really good price within half an hour without any pressure or hassle. They even delivered car to my home 20 miles away, at my request. On the other hand, service dept has left a biased feeling to me. Car was great but the A/C didn't work at the moment of purchase. I had to come back to them 3 times within the next 3 months until they finally managed to fix it (so far so good in Aug 2010). and car stayed in their garage for 2 or 3 days every time. However, they didn't charge a penny to me (first time the problem returned within a month from the purchase and they had to fix it under the warranty) neither for work nor for a new condenser installed (expensive!). Also, each time they provided a loaner car for free. Customer communications were nice and friendly. It was a bit of a hassle and disappointment to get back there 3 times, but I guess they did everything they could to smooth and level off this unpleasant experience for me. Also, I really cannot judge if it happened due to lack of their professional attention or experience that they couldn't get it fixed right away or if it was one of those cases when you try your best to do everything right but things just don't work as you expect. If not this, I would have rated excellent.

Nice dealership, honest; Good place to buy a used Subaru

My husband and I purchased a used '09 Subaru Outback from Land Rover Alexandria through sales associate Sam Spalding. Since we this was our first long-distance internet vehicle purchase, we were cautious. My husband asked Sam to send additional photos of the car. Sam did so, and never pressured my husband on the sale. When we arrived to pick up the car it was exactly as described. The only item missing was the 2nd remote key fob. The sales manager, Ahmad Mozaffar offered to refund us for the expense of a new key fob after we purchsed one at our local Subaru dealership. After we sent our a copy of our receipt, the promised refund arrived quickly. It was busy the day we were there, a Saturday, so there was a bit of a wait. But they have a nice lounge with play area for kids. Try a weekday, they are likely less busy. After having bad experiences at other dealerships (not being told the true condition of a vehicle listed on the internet), we appreciated Land Rover Alexandria's honesty. It was worth the trip. This seems to be a good place to find used Subarus in good condition, they had a few others the day we were there.

my new LR4

I went to land rover of alexandria to look at an LR4. I was very specific about what I wanted. Alaska white, ebony interior, lux package. there weren't any available, so i left a deposit and was expecting to wait 3-4 months to get my new car. 3 weeks later one was inbound to the US, and they got it for me. now i have my new land rover in my driveway and i couldnt be happier. i got a good price on the new car and a good price on my trade. no hassle, no pressure. definitely a good dealership.
