Dealership Sales Review

Did not tell me no spare. Very slow in processing sale

onI bought a new Hyundai Elantra and was very pleased until we had a flat tire while on vacation. I took out our luggage and was shocked to find a pump and bottle of "fix a flat" where the spare tire was supposed to be. I lost the whole afternoon in having the car towed and getting the tire fixed- fix a flat won't repair gashes in the side of a tire. I have had to have the car towed again due to a tire being slashed while parked in a church parking lot. This left my wife stranded in a bad part of town. The dealer and Hyundai say the tire is left out to conserve on weight. You do not leave out a piece of safety equipment to make a car lighter- that puts your family in danger. I was never told by the dealership that the car did not have a spare. It never occured to me to check the tire well in the trunk- who would think a dealer would be dishonest enough to sell a car without a spare tire? Well, Terry Reid did that to me. Another point- they were very slow in the sales process. It took them forever to give me a price and to come up with a deal on my trade. I'll not be a return customer.
