My search for Denalli, 4x4, not Black, left me with few choices within reasonable driving distance from my home. There for, I did as much shopping online as possible. Following up with phone calls once finding vehicle reasonably priced. It is easy to quickly get turned off to certain dealerships through this process. I was pleased to speak with Carry in the internet sales dept. She answered questions directly and appropriately and made no attempt to mislead me or misrepresent the truth. It was Her professional and friendly voice that led me to go to Carl Black GMC first. Carry gave me the name of the manager working that day and advised him that I would be coming by to look at vehicle. I was greeted by friendly young man named Matt Miller. He introduced me to manager then showed me around the vehicle I was there to see. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and it's many modern technological features that I was not used to. He was extremely kind and easy to talk to. We took vehicle for test drive and I agreed to purchase vehicle if we were able to reach comfortable selling price. I was happy to know that they were open to offers. Many dealerships are getting away from negotiating price on used vehicle, but will not tell you that until your at dealership. Matt turned out to be the sales person responsible for negotiating the purchase price. process went as I would expect, back and forth a couple times to manager office, both parties giving in some until deal was made. I never felt pressured or as if there were any funny sales tactics being used. Matt was great to work with and his manager was reasonable and fair. Deal was made. Finished up with Hector in finance office. Hector is 25+ year Vet serving in the USN. I have great respect for his service to our country. He was not pushy at all with the add on's at the end. My only negative comments would be: 1) I was told I would receive top dollar for trade as this dealership works with used car dealer to resale trade ins. This is not true if you vehicle has higher mileage. I was offered a low number for my trade with 154K miles and told it would go to auction. This was worked out in negotiation process. 2) the dealership has installed a aftermarket rear brake light system which blinks top mount brake light. It is supposed to make vehicle safer and most likely does. the dealership then adds $398 to price of vehicle. I was told it was non negotiable even after I told them to get rid of it. I wasn't in mood to fight them over it. Who knows it may save me and my family from getting rear ended some day. Other than those two items. I was extremely happy with my experience.
