When selling cars is not your core business...

I'll give them 2 stars because at least the showroom is clean and it is a nice facility. I suspect selling cars is not the core business of this dealership since nobody really feel the urge to actually pulling his/her butt out of their chair when a potential customer comes through the door. I briefly visited this dealership 3 times in the last month and in all 3 cases the same experience, you have to actually pull someone out of his/her cubicle to get some attention. I do not mean being swarmed by hordes of salesmen like it happens in other dealership but being ignored is annoying too! First time I was just looking at a color of the model I'm interested, nobody showed up and there were salesmen just chit chatting occasionally looking at me and ignoring me. Did not talk to anyone, just left. Second time I had to ask for someone (again quite few people that were not busy), I was looking for a physical brochure for the model I'm interested (Cadillac still make physical brochures for the V series). They were unaware of such brochures. Third and final time one month later was almost comical....again I had to actually ask for someone...I was inquiring for the incentives for 2019 cars vs. 2018 and I mentioned to this kid that I already made an offer (I did not tell him what the offer was) to other dealers for the 2018 model of the car I'm interested.....so, picture this, it's the end of the month, end of the year (no sales target I guess) and I communicate to you that I have already made offers to other dealers for the most expensive Cadillac model (over 6 figures MSRP) and you happen to have two of them sitting on the lot for months and guess what?? The kid does not even ask me for my phone number or what my offer was!! LOL All I got was some blabbering about "how rare these cars are"and there are basically little incentives ahahaha (right...Cadillac sedans are such hot sellers)...I felt like telling him "you work for Cadillac not for Porsche" LOL

2018 GMC Sierra Denali 2500HD

I have mixed feelings about my experience. The saleswoman (Srey) that I worked with was excellent. Unfortunately her manager (Keith) was not very fun to work with. Typical car salesman using high pressure tactics. Then the day of the sale, after being told my interest rate was 2.59% the previous day and putting a deposit on the truck to secure it - my wife and I and 3 kids went down to sign all the papers and I was informed that the interest rate was 2.94%!!!! [non-permissible content removed] - this dealer does bait and switch on the financing side. I learned my lesson with Brotherton - never again.

Bait and switch

Bait and switch!!! negotiated a 36 Month least for 15K miles. When I went to sign papers the documentation had it at 10K. When I asked for it to be corrected they said that they could do 15K but the payments would go up about $40 a month. I told him that was not what was agreed upon and they acknowledged the mistake. They took 2K off lease price but the payment still went up. I reviewed the documentation and decided to still go through with the deal. I sign papers and go home. I get a call the next day and the finance fell through because the finance manager adjusted the residual below what GMC allows. They tell me that they need me to sign a new lease. I tell them to mail it to me. The next day I get a call from the dealership and they messed up the lease that they sent out and they tell me that they need to send a second lease out for me to sign and not to sign the first one. When I get the new lease there are many cost attribute that have ben changed around. I called the dealership and discussed the issues with the sales manager who was very professional but we could not come to a mutual or productive resolution. I ended up getting the payments that I asked for but the lease is at 12K instead of 15K. I feel that the other dealership staff were genuine with their words or agreements. I would not trust this dealership to do the right thing. I most certainly would not trust them with maintenance of my vehicle. I would recommend you visit another dealership to make your purchase. Chances are you will have a better experience.

How it should be!

All in all it was how an auto purchase should be. I got a beautiful Yukon at a competitive price. First off Dan S was friendly and respectful of my time. The vehicle I was looking for had been sold but with a little searching Dan found a really similar option on the lot that I had not considered. When I returned the next day to test drive and more seriously talk out the details Dan was again great and considerate of my time and my questions. I presented a challenge as my credit is not good but my income is. M.K. And Stefanie S worked their magic and got all the numbers to work considering my credit and finances. I returned later after work, to take delivery of the vehicle with my wife and once again Stafanie and Graham (Dan was off by then) were both extremely nice and happy to help. What I appreciate most was the team work and assistance from the whole team without ever feeling like I was dealing with some cut throught, commission sales structure. I am a commission sales associate in a different industry and I am sensitive to the sales persons commisions but the customer has to come first no matter what or who is available to help. I saw really good team work and a possitive crew working together to take care of a client. So for all of this I say thank you for making it easy and a positive buying experience.

2014 GMC Acadia

I purchased my dream car, the 2014 GMC Acadia SLT. The salesman (Gary B.), financial manager (Stefanie), parts and service departments were all great to work with. There was no high pressure sales and all were very accommodating and helpful to me. Gary was knowledgeable about setting up the display options and even paired my cell phone with the bluetooth.

Graham E. was Amazing!

First I wanted to say how at ease he and the team at Brotherton Cadillac made me feel when I fist showed up! Graham helped me understand the Terrain's trim levels and option in a very polite and comforting way that really made me feel like I knew what I was buying. He also made the financing and explanation of the warranty and how to use the vehicles features simple and to the point. I would highly recommend Graham and The Brotherton dealership to anyone in the area!! Thank again Graham I love my new car!
