Stay clear of Rusty, Wallace cloud, cuckooland

Bob westin 1 review My Jetta needed a steering wheel lock cylinder. Rusty Wallace Volkswagen is the closest to me so I contacted them for an estimate. The service advisor said a little over $600. On February 19. My tow truck driver followed me to RustyWallace and dropped off the Volkswagen wagon. The service advisor said it would take a couple days. Two days later he contacted me and told me I also needed a lock cylinder that the key goes into. I told him they only need the lock cylinder 5% of the time because I was familiar with this fix. I had a used car dealer license for 10 years and specialized in Volkswagens. he said his tech said it would require a lock cylinder and the total cost would be $1047. He asked if I wanted to do it and I said of course and he said he would give me a deal because I was calm about it. He would charge me $900 because the lady in front of me had the same issue and was reading him the riot act. I said fine. Two weeks later I contacted him and he said that part had to be manufactured in Germany from my Vin number and he hadn’t heard anything. Three weeks later I contacted RustyWallace and they told me it was stuck in customs in Memphis. They didn’t know when it would be maybe two or three more weeks. After four weeks I contacted them and the parts guy said there was no order on record for my part, would I like to re-order? I asked to speak to the service manager and he said actually, your part is lost somewhere within FedEx. We can order it again, but it would take 3 to 4 weeks. I said where do we stand if I just come pick up my car because it’s been 4 1/2 weeks? He said you would owe us a diagnosis fee. I said you didn’t diagnose anything I told you what was wrong with the car before I brought it, you’ve had it for 4 1/2 weeks and don’t know when you can get the part. He said I’ll check with my manager and see if you can have the car back with no charge. I called him later and he said I could pick up the car with no charge. I contacted Clay Cooley Volkswagen in Richardson and the parts guy said the part was $460 which was $160 more than everybody else in town. I thought the last thing I want is another fiasco. I contacted Josh.Cienfuegos service advisor at Hendrick, Volkswagen Frisco and he gave me a price of $566. On March 22., 32 days after dropping it off at RustyWallace, my tow truck driver followed me to Hendrick Volkswagen. My car was sitting in the exact spot my tow truck driver dropped it off 4 1/2 weeks earlier, no one had even checked anything. I’m so glad it was not damaged because it was on a corner position where they take all of the stuff in and out of the service department and where they turn the corner to take stuff around back. Josh at HendrikVW said it would take an hour and a half and I might even be able to pick it up the same afternoon. I picked it up the same day, and it cost me less than half of rusty Wallace‘s estimate. Thank goodness for Hendrick Volkswagen Frisco. Bob West, Heath Texas

500$ taken from center console!

Went in for oil change and state inspection, had 500$ cash stolen from my center console. Filed a police report and found out I was lied to about the lack of cameras or ability to conduct and sort of effective investigation. Zero customer service recovery offered. Absolutely the worst experience and a terrible way to conduct business. Our family has purchased 2 cars from this dealership but you can guarantee that there will not be a 3rd. Would caution anybody from giving their business to this dealership.

Employees aren’t competent

If you like having to come back here multiple times for a simple service visit I would recommend this dealership. Staff gets an attitude when I return because THEY didn’t fix the issue the first time. Come on Mr. Saab, get it together!!

Terrible Service

I went specifically for an oil change and figured I would get a couple of things looked at while I was there. I told the rep that the other things were not as important as the oil change. I waited 8 hours for them to advise me my car was ready to pick up and they never performed the oil change. When I called back to inquire they stated I hadn’t mentioned an oil change when I took my car in. They straight up lied to me that they had no notes of this since I had already spoken to someone else and they confirmed it appeared on the notes but not on the receipt. I will never bring my car here again.

Tried to overcharge me/no humility

Took in my wife’s CPO 2017 Tiguan on May 8, 2021 for an oil change and for them to look at the roof visor that stopped working. Not being aware of the fact that her car was a Certified pre owned I was told if would cost 170 dollars just to diagnose the issue with the visor. I reluctantly agreed and about 20 minutes later I told them to stop as I changed my mind. They tried to charge me 85 dollars just for their 15-20 minutes of “work”. I said i will not pay that and just do the oil change. When the oil change was done I was told my my service advisor Josh Cienfuegos that “FYI since the vehicle is a certified pre owned you would not be charged the 170 dollar Diagnostic fee and also you would only be responsible for a 50 dollar deductible if you would have not changed your mind!!! I don’t get much time to come to the dealership but that was a total waste of time as my intention was to get it fixed but for whatever reason (dishonesty, just not knowing any better) I don’t get Done what I needed to. He offered no apology as he was probably “hurt” that i didn’t let him scam me. How hard is it to look at that information before giving a quote??? I had issues with them last year when I took the car in for an oil change as well. Makes me want to look back at the invoice and see if they overcharged me then. Total joke and again no apology or nothing/ he just said it very casually. Wouldn’t recommend going here. Waste of time and overpriced vehicles and of course they try and pull a fast one on you.

my best experience ever, dealing with service!!!!!!

the service department was very busy at 715 am, Philip was with a customer , but took the time to say he would be right with me , as soon as he finished with customer he came and found me and wrote a sevice ticket quickly, I asked him to look at my sevice policy to be clear what coverage I had, he also took time to look at contract to see I had a 60000 parts contract , out of 4 other services no other service advisor had done this in the past , his imnspections , completed a full service of my 2019 VW Tiguan, The best service I have ever had , of all the oil changes I have had done, thank you for Philip Van Tuyl

Josh C is excellent

I had to take my Tiguan in for service and was blessed to get Josh C as my service agent. Not only was Josh extremely respectful, polite and accommodating but he went above and beyond to make sure my experience was great. My car was getting repaired for about three weeks and Josh made sure that I received a loaner car and updated me on everything regarding the status of my car. I never felt out of the loop or like I didn’t know what was going on with my car. In addition, the day before my car was ready to take home, Josh got word of a part being recalled in my car and took the initiative to fix the recalled part before I even received the notice In the mail. He saved so much frustration, time and energy, I can’t thank him enough.

Horrible service!

It was a mistake to purchase my car from Hendricks! What is the point of scheduling a time and date for a service if they can’t get it completed in a timely manner! I scheduled a service for 4pm. It’s now 5:35 and my car has still not been taken in to be worked on. Horrible service - never coming back

Unprofessional Service Director & Staff

One of most unprofessional place I have ever been. I drop my car 7 am in d morning on d request of James J Saliva. They called me becoz of d wrost service they have given me and want to make up for that. They had my car for the entire day and didnt fix or do anything. Nobody even calls to tell me wat is going on with my car. I went in d evening to pick my car .... i asked for my keys .... They Don't know where my keys are. They Don't ve any work ethics in them. I totally wasted my time by coming to this place again. Don't go to this place. Their technician are not able to identify the problem correctly. I got my Volkswagen jetta serviced here couple of months ago ..... they said to me that check engine light is on, do this do that. I got d work done whatever they said. The same problem started all over again and this time they are do this and do that becoz it's different problem. Both the times they said engine requires work. They are simply making people fool who doesn't know technicality. I m not going to this place again. Not at all.

Prompt and Professional

My experiences with the Hendrick service team has been great! Service at all levels has been prompt and detailed recap and eval of the car is huge plus! Waiting rooms and amenities are always a plus. So far in my three visits, all repairs and service needs have been completed ahead of promised time.
