Megan Zullo Represents Excellent Client Service

I had my scheduled oil change and recall done today. I have always been amazed with the outstanding sales department, but today service really was on the same excellent level, thanks to the knowledgeable and professional service that I experienced with Ms. Zullo. I did come in early - about 50 minutes, however it went as perfectly as possible. I printed out my discount coupon, gave it to Ms. Zullo, she completed the paperwork, had the car done in record time and made sure I was happy with everything. It was under an hour! I definitely will ask for her when my service is needed next time. So nice when everything goes as planned. Thank you again Ms. Zullo and the Freehold Hyundai Service Team.

Worst Customer Service Ever

I see that the majority of reviews are positive. However, most of them are related to the SALES experience. Glad that everyone is happy and I sincerely hope your car never breaks down, otherwise, you just might be in for an experience from the SERVICE Department that you will never forget. My 2012 Elantra, primarily driven by my daughter, has been in for the same issue THREE times. The car will randomly not start. Brought in the first time and they said it was the battery. Which we replaced. Which was not under warranty (of course). Take car home and it does not start the very next morning. Bring it back again they replace the ignition switch. Running fine for a couple of weeks. Last Friday, car will not start. We tried several times throughout the day without success. Call for a tow. After waiting over 2.5 hours after the promised time, driver shows up unprepared to tow. He said he was told to jump. I tell him no, he insists on jumping it. Surprise! Car doesn't start. Next morning, we call again for a tow. Another 2.5 hours late, driver shows up. Same thing, insists on jumping a not dead brand new battery. Surprise! Car won't start. He suggests it's the starter. Not related to Freehold Hyundai per say, this is Roadside Assistance, but just wanted to give you an idea of the whole disgusting experience. Car is now at the dealer. They are running diagnostics. Cannot find anything. Service advisor says, we have to see for ourselves that the car fails. No repairs will be made without verification. I suppose the car not starting, the car having been there TWICE before because it won't start, and the car now having been TOWED because it wouldn't start, wasn't enough verification that something was wrong. Service Advisor Isaac, who is the one of the most patronizing individuals I have ever come across, says "we believe you, but we have to see it for ourselves." The diagnostics (again) were telling the mechanics that it was just fine. The car that will start on Monday, but maybe not Tuesday, is just fine. Of course, I am now wondering about the diagnostics the first two times, the first being a battery and the second being an ignition switch. In the meantime, I am growing increasingly annoyed at the sickeningly phony apologies and "I understand your frustration" ... and then I tell him that on one of the occasions that the car wouldn't start had my daughter stranded at 10pm in a dark parking lot. We called roadside assistance, and I drove 45 minutes to meet her. The car started, we cancelled the service call and I followed her home. I said to the service advisor, Issac, "how do you think that makes me feel?" His response was (and I think this is probably what I am MOST angry about, but I really don't know because there are just so many things) ... "I cannot put parts into a car based on a customer's feelings". REALLY???? Didn't he just say a moment before that he "understands my frustration?" So at that point, I went and got the car - unserviced - out of their facility. I will have it serviced by someone that I have the confidence will correctly diagnose and repair the car. What I will NOT do is ever step one foot into Freehold Hyndai, either for sales and especially not for service, and I will never recommend them to anybody. I am sure that I am just one insignificant person to Freehold Hyundai and losing my business won't put them out of business, but be assured that I will let as many people as I can know how unhappy I am with what I just went through with them and that they stand to go through the same thing if there is anything seriously wrong with their cars. For the record, they offered me a loaner car from Saturday evening until Monday, which I declined because if by Monday they couldn't replicate the "alleged" issue, well then I was just out of luck and would have to return the loaner and pick up my car. How's that for customer service? I only wish there was a negative star rating.

I miss 0 stars rate!

My husband stopped by to change wipers about month ago and today was the 3rd time when I came back claiming, they broke my wiper system. I have a Genesis. and while wipers unused they are hiding under the hood. First time I saw my car after changing - wipers were easily seen from my drivers seat and attract to much attention. the second time they adjust smth and it started cleaning half way to the driver side, so you cannot drive your car during the rain. the third time they adjust wipers to the position I started complaining (I still could see it and it doesn't hide) I showed them photos of my car I made a month ago before service, but they claims that it's not critical, so I can live with new adjustments. I think I should receive my car after dealership the same or better condition and I shouldn't sorry for their mistakes which they don't even want to correct! I'm completely disappointed! 0 stars is to much to rate it! If they cannot change wipers how can I trust them with my other services?!

Rating the personnel at Freehold Hundai

I have been buying cars since 1958 but in all those years I have not encounted a staff with such courtesy, knowledge and helpfulness. Starting with our sales person, Jim Sheridan and on to the Manager, Peter, then to Ryan (where we purchase some insurance on the car)and finally the Allstate person. All were a pleasure to deal with and of course we love the Elantra we purchased. Thank you Hundai Edith and Frank Camarda

The dealership is run by [non-permissible content removed]. I took my 2013 hyundai Sonata in for a recall repair on the shift assembly. Over several days I could not shut my car off 4x's, I brought it back and they could not duplicate the problem. I then had pictures of my navigation throwing critical error messages and reported it not working for 45 minute intervals while driving. I was told they had to duplicate the problem to fix it. Once again they could not duplicate the issue so nothing was done. It came down to them not wanting to replace the $3,000 navigation! My warrenty ends in 1,400 miles how funny. Poor service and customer service! Next time I will purchase and service my vehicle at Lester Glenn.

Excellent Service

I have had my Genesis coupe 2.0T for almost two years now and I love it! I have gone to the dealership in Freehold where I purchased my car for all of the scheduled maintenance and any concerns that I may have had. I bought the car from the old building, and now they moved to an updated facility near by. Whenever I go there everyone is friendly and welcoming, the facility is very professional and I usually wait in the waiting area for any repairs to get done. The service techs are very quick and efficient and always explain to me what is going to be done before they go ahead and do it. Today I was just in for an oil change and my recommended scheduled maintenance, but was also given an ECM update. My service guy was Isaac Crum, who I would in a heartbeat look for again when I go there bc he was very friendly and knew exactly what he was doing. Even when your in the waiting area you still get great customer service, having a very enlightening conversation will a gentleman we know as 'Cousin Vinny'(Vince Mucci). When I drove out of the parking lot I was excited about the extra pep my car seemed to have. I would highly recommend this dealership to a friend, and will continue to go there whenever I have a problem, and when I'm looking for my next car.

The employee that I spoke to on the phone, Chris H, came off very professional and seemed to have all of his bases covered. He spoke very knowledgeably about his Hyundai products and I will be considering purchasing a vehicle in the near future.

Warranty Service call

I went into Freehold Hyundai for warranty service on my 2013 Hyundai Elantra tires. Used the tire insurance i purchased and received 2 new tires, no questions asked. While I was there I met with the product specialist Vince M, great guy. He was very knowledgeable. Great experience overall. Met with Joe the service advisor and got great service as well. Extremely happy with my new wheels.

Excellent service!

I went in to service department about a leakage in my tire. They helped me and directed me right away and explained it would only take few min. Few min later Vince M came out and told me the problem and that my car is fixed and ready for me to drive. I was stunned on how quick and great the service was. Vince and the rest of service department gave one of fastest most efficient service experiences I ever had

I went into Freehold Hyundai for an oil change on my 2011 Hyundai Genesis. While I was there I met with the finance manager Vince M, great guy. He gave me my options for buying a new car and was very knowledgeable on how to acquire a newer vehicle. Great experience overall.

Service Review

On Wed. Aug7th I took our Hyundai Sonata to Freehold to be serviced. Keith C. checked me in and told me to sit in the waiting room. After two hours I needed to stop a serviceman to find out what was going on with my car. After 15 minutes Keith iinformed me that a mechanic who had serviced our car before was making a check list. I made a point of saying that I had been waiting over two hours. Keith said that he would return within a few minutes with the check list. Fifteen minutes go by and I knock on the glass and Keith nonchalantly stands and says he is going to get the info from the mechanic. He returns and informs me that the repairs would cost $8oo. I was furious at the cost and the wait time. Keith walks out and says he will see what he can do. I call my husband and Keith returns with a $669 bill. He walks in while I am telling my husband how I was taken advantage of and made to wait over 3 hours and the cost. Then Keith responds that he is trying to make up for the wait time by minimally reducing the price and I make him feel like a criminal. His tone is rude, arrogant and disrespectful. This is not the kind of treatment that I deserve, or anyone deserves. I did not want my husband to ride with low front brakes. I was told that the repair would take one hour. I waited the one hour and five minutes and then went to Keith. He said the car was ready and snidely said he still had four minutes to go. I have difficulty walking and was reminded by Keith four or five times, that he had the car brought to the door for me. I'll let you make your decision about Keith C. I would keep as far away from him as I possibly can. You lost us as a customer.

Stay Away

Horrible service; two times I brought our Sante Fe in for service they attempted to blame me for Hyundai's crappy car! Do yourself a favor and go to another dealer; also their 10/100,000 warranty is garbage just like their cars, buy a HONDA!

auto start installed

When a I purchased my new 2013 Sonata I wanted an auto start installed. I returned my car a week and a half later and dealt with David. Very polite and a joy to deal with. They provided a loaner car and the auto start was installed within an hour and a half. Great service.

Pleasant experience

Frank Simonetti was a very nice guy to deal with. The process was as smooth as it could be. No matter what you do, you're going to spend a lot of time haggling the hours away but they made me feel a lot more comfortable than Brad Benson. Make sure you let them know early in the negotiation process what color you would like or you'll get whatever is on the lot. I ended up with a Ruby 2012 Sonata and hope to enjoy it for a long time. Definitely see Frank if you're thinking of stopping in.

Purchase experience @ Freehold Hyundai

The dealer's sale representative is knowledable, courtersy, and friendly which make the whole purchase process smoothly and pleasant. I went to Freehold Hyundai to buy a new car that I was interested in, and I was a little bit nervous due to worrying about the complicated buying procedures. The Freehold Hyundai's sale representative made my worrying not necessary via his professional manner. I made the decision for buying at my first visit. The whole experience is just fabulous. Oh yes, did I mention the representative's name yet? Anthony Copernico ! Yes, that's the guy you can trust and do business with. I will definitely refer my friends to do business with Freehold Hyundai.
