Long Distance Sale From MD to Midwest—Nana Prempeh was great We purchased a 2023 X5 40i Passport BMW Service Loaner in July 2023 that I found online from 1,200 miles away in the upper Midwest. It had the right exterior and interior colors that we were looking for and we wanted the 2023 to avoid the 2024 LCI changes with the curved instrument display and removal of climate control and other buttons. Passport had the exact car with a reasonable discount given it had been in service for 9 months and had 8,000 miles. Interestingly, many of our local Dealers had these same service loaners in different color combinations and similar mileage but they were still selling them for MSRP. Our local Dealer had one that they dropped $5k below MSRP in May or June but then raised it back to MSRP a week later due to “market conditions”. So we were interested in the one at Passport BMW. We had never bought a car online before but figured we would give it a shot with a Dealer. We searched the Passport BMW reviews and Nana Prempeh’s name came up many times from satisfied customers, so I gave him a call. He was just as nice and responsive as the reviews indicated and he had me signed up for the car within a day after he confirmed he had looked it over for any odd dings or dents etc and it was as nice as pictured. Nana even threw in some all weather mats and some BMW merchandise for us which was a nice touch given we never even met in person. Nana had us work with Davaughn Paige in the Finance Department to lock up the sale with a credit card amount and the rest financed through BMWFS, so no checks or wire transfers, etc. Davaughn explained all the optional programs available in light of the vehicle being a service loaner and not quite “new”. Nana also put us in contact with a shipping company that was great and gave us a quote for shipping it in a smaller two car covered trailer. We paid the shipper directly once Davaughn could release the car and they literally had it to our house (1,200 miles away) late the next day. The car came with a Maryland temporary plate in the back and it took some time to get everything flipped to our home state and get local plates issued but Passport took care of all that—all the local sales tax, registration fees and filings etc. Every time we contacted Nana to check on the status of our home state plates he responded promptly and assured us that they were on their way. All in all a great experience with Nana and Davaughn at Passport BMW. [contact info removed].
THE Most Dishonest People I've Ever Dealt With

Horrible experience to say the least! While we weren't expecting to deal with the most honest people on earth, Passport BMW, and mainly Shawn Swartz managed to take things to a whole different level of dishonesty. We wanted to trader our basically brand new 2022 BMW M4 Competition. We had offers at 2 other BMW dealerships for $81,000 and at Carmax at $81,850. Shawn Swartz offered us $70,000 stating that the car had been tuned, showing a variety of service codes, and needed at least $10,000 to bring it back to life, so he can sell it, at most likely a zero profit lol. While I knew this was a complete lie, I had a BMW technician do a full Pre-Purchase inspection, and sure enough. The car was not tuned, nothing wrong with it whatsoever, no codes at all, and the only modification done to the vehicle, which was the exhaust, was via Valvetronic, a BMW approved company. I wasn't going to leave a feedback at all, since my view on Mr. Swartz and those like him is that it is not worth my time lowering myself to his level. He considers himself a genius, yet he is a used car sales manager, not what I consider an achievement of any kind. As I was having a casual conversation at work, I was told that he, him specially did the same exact thing to one of my employees, on a BMW X6 trade. He offered them $36,000, they ended up getting $48,000 at BMW of Alexandria. Identical story, Shawn Swartz telling them how horrible their car is, the transmission is making noise, the brakes are bad etc. On a BMW X6 with 19k miles on it. So please careful, and spend your hard-earned money elsewhere.

No loyalty to out of state repeat customers

The purpose of my review is not to do any dealership bashing or things of that nature, but I'll present the facts, and as a consumer, you can decide if "this can happen to you." I made my first purchase in Feb 2022 on X3 M40 because this dealer had build slots. I'm a repeat customer buying a second M440i x-drive BMW a year later, and neither the Salesman nor the Sales Manager did not offer to provide any DEALERSHIP incentives for being a repeat customer. I had to use my financing to maximize rebate opportunities outside the Dealership. For the record, my credit was in the exceptional range. The Salesman offered up MANUFACTURER rebates, and they passed them off as their own, and in the same conversation, I was told that the Dealership would take care of me. Then I got told again that I had made out on the deal. I understand and know dealership financing and that THEY always make out on the sale! It's hilarious how this Dealership assumed that I didn't see the difference between manufacturer vs. dealer rebate (lack thereof). I would have backed out of the deal; however, it stated on the purchase order that I signed that my $1k deposit was non-refundable. Do you think the Dealership could have done better? In summation, my second $68k purchase in a 14mo period from this Dealership, and all that I received were manufacturer and military rebates and zero consideration from the Dealership. I was their second easy sale and most definitely will be the last. They didn't even offer to tint windows, all-weather floor mats, or anything of the sort. I received Zero perks from this Dealership. Loyalty to a customer can go a long way, especially with the capabilities of AI and social media.

Horrible service! Do Not Buy Here!

My experience with the sales process here was horrible! Worked with Rommell Hollins who consistently did not follow up on commitments made to me. The appraisal they gave me on my trade in was insulting (I sold it for $4K more than they offered). The final straw taking place now is that they did not provide the DC Vehicle Inspection sticker with my registration. I should have investigated further, but assumed that since it was a new car that I did not need one. After getting a $50 ticket for not having the sticker, I reached back out to Rommell. First I was told that I did not need an inspection sticker on a new car, but after reading the DC DMV website to him, the story changed to Rommell saying they gave it to me. They refuse to help solve the issue at all. When I called out Rommell for interrupting me and talking over me, he said "you're not going to talk to me like that" and hung up on me. There are many better places to spend this amount of money. Will never return there for service or to buy again.

Just picked up our brand new car from Passport BMW in Maryland. Highly recommend this dealership! Shopped around the entire region and Passport offered the best price and experience hands down. Quick, straight forward, and 100% transparent throughout the entire inquiry to order to delivery process. Couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable experience. Nathan T took us through the entire process seamlessly. Delivery was so smooth being able to take care of a lot of the paper work and finances with Jeff S the week before our delivery. Both Nathan and Jeff were prompt and patient with all of our inquiries.

Wow! Excellent! Teric, Jeff and Cee. I am from Myrtle Beach, SC. I found the BMW that my wife wanted online at Passport (they had the best price of any BMW dealership along the east coast) did most of the paperwork over the phone and by email. Flew in on Sunday morning at 10:00am arrived at the dealership by 10:45am (and yes they came in on a Sunday!) They were waiting for me, showed me the car, signed all the papers with Teric and then with Jeff. Jeff gave me the best price on the BMW platinum warranty (I priced it before I arrived and Jeff not only beat it he killed it!) Then Cee took her time and showed me all the features that the car had. I was on the road by 12:30 and home in Myrtle Beach that night by 8pm. Cee is even going to do a virtual set up with my wife later this week. I have bought 3 BMW vehicles in the past from top name BMW dealerships and this by far was the best experience! I will back to Passport, Teric, Jeff and Cee this summer to get MY car!! Thank you guys for everything.

I have been a BMW Passport customer for over 12 years and have gotten great service but I can sincerely say there has been none like Paul Tyler. He is unique in his approach and you immediately trust him. He is customer oriented well informed on the specifications of the vehicles and recommends what is suitable for you. Don’t Trust - ZERO RATING!

BEWARE. BEWARE. BEWARE. This dealership deserves a BIG ZERO, or worse a NEGATIVE rating!!! I received an appraisal by the dealer to purchase my vehicle. The process involved an extensive report which documented every detail of my vehicle - several pages long and with photos (including odometer mileage). The dealer offered - in writing - an amount which was good for 7 days. I accepted the offer, communicated openly and frequently, and then confirmed I would redeem it. At the third day, when I went to redeem the offer, all seemed to be moving along, but then the dealer indicated they had made a mistake in entering their paperwork on the software application. At this time they started with a disingenuous apology and proceeded to offer me a much lower purchase price - 11.5% less than their original buy offer. They played games and tried to pressure me into accepting a much lower value than originally agreed to... supposedly, because the software didn’t record the odometer reading (although they argued they entered the right mileage). Funny, how they say the paperwork had the right mileage, that they entered it correctly, but that the software “somehow” changed it to 0. DO NOT trust them and avoid any business with this DISHONEST dealership - they will not honor their word. Their word is WORTHLESS! Please do yourself a huge favor and take your business elsewhere. There are plenty of other honest dealers who will treat you right. P.S. Avoid Mr. Michael Williams and Mr. Nathan Tibbetts.

Poor post sales support

Bought used 2016 bmw. Finance manager lied about the extended warranty, said it was From BMW but it wasn’t. then delayed my plates when I requested refund. Then didn’t process the paperwork to get it cancelled so 8 weeks later I called corporate and the extended warranty company and got it done myself. He also kept trying to increase the interest rate during the finance paperwork. Typical low rent tactics. Sales guy named Hung was good during sale but did not help at all with the finance manager problems.

The staff was very professional and guided me through the process. I drove my car home in 4 hours. They also had a rep sit with me in the car to go over the many options I can choose from. I had the best car buying experience ever at Passport BMW! I was pleasantly surprised by the initial greeting at the front desk by Jasper my Salesman. With only 3 weeks on the job and 2 days actively selling he was knowledgeable, professional and personable. He worked well with his Supervisor Robert Oates and Manager Isa Williams to accommodate all of my needs. Jasper, Isa and Robert went above and beyond to accommodate all of my needs and make it a fun experience. Charles Duckworth in the BMW Boutique was super helpful in picking out the accessory necessities for my new BMW Lifestyle. Last but not least, Jeff Steel in finance was so helpful in explaining all of my finance options and helping me to choose the one that best fit my needs. In a nutshell this entire team ROCKS!!! Coming from the Mercedes Family I was weary of the buying experience but they exceeded all of my expectations and I am very happy with my purchase. I called the dealership in an attempt to beat another dealer's proposal - Peter EXCEEDED my expectations! Better equipped car leased for far less than the other dealership proposed!! We signed the paperwork that night and they brought the car out to me the next morning. Great service, great price, friendly dealership! They will get both my husband's and my leases going forward - no question!!

After looking for a car at four area BMW dealerships, Passport was the best. We were allowed to drive the car on our own and the salesperson was patient and knowledgeable. Tina answered our questions and when we came back to complete the purchase, she was there to help in any way she could. We received a fair price for our trade-in and the dealer charges were minimal; no hidden charges, no surprises. We have received several calls from the staff who offered to answer any questions we might have about operating the car. I highly recommend Passport BMW.
