We have bought three vehicles from Barker---2 Elements EX and an Odyssey EX-L. All marvelous cars.(you just have to drive something else to see) The treatment was excellent and I did a lot of my dealing with the dealer himself. I did my homework on Edmunds.com and asked for quotes from all over South Louisiana, literally. Mr. Lester Bimah matched the lowest price I received from a distant dealership, and had the cars on his lot. I could not have asked for more. It was going the extra mile. I bought at end of year times (end of model years). I have allergies/asthma and my salesman, Bradley Barbera, moved my car into covered shaded area for the day, opened all of the doors to the vehicle to let it air out, and right before I was to drive it home, he even started it and started the A/C for me and I got the best price, also, in all of So Louisiana. I could not have asked for more. I am looking to obtain my 4th Honda in a couple weeks and only need to decide which one I want!!! Thanks Barker Honda!!!! And also, this is very important, I've never dealt with a better financial company than Honda Financial. They bend over backwards to help you in any way they can after disasters, or layoffs, etc.

Sales folks were nice, but nice should not factor into the financial equation decision to buy a vehicle when on the losing end. Agree with the other reviews - SALES Managers are [violative content deleted] - the Barker family owns most of the dealerships in Houma so they don;t budge on their pricing. OFFENSIVE trade in offer - $4K below NADA and other bluebooks. Example of Barker's Dealer add-on sticker pricing: wheel locks $109; manufacturer retail $56, sunroof wind deflector $200; manuf retail $138, rear deck spoiler $533, manuf retail $355. Excessive markup on MSRP. Shop around, use the internet - equip yourself with bonfide numbers for your trade and the new unit.

I purchase a car from Barker Honda and my sales guy was really nice but when it came to having to deal with the finance manager not soo much. He was [violative content deleted] and I'll never buy there again. The Finance Manager didn't have the correct paperwork to close the deal soo after two weeks I call to see why I have not received payment booklet to pay my note and it is becasue the Finance manager neved called to let me know he needed the correct paperwork. Then the finance manager continued to yell at me telling me he didn't get his money so I was not getting nothing from them untill he got his. Well ummm excuse me Mr. Finance manager you get paid to crunch numbers and push paper so maybe you should have contacted me to let me know you needed something else. Get off your high horse you are not doing in favors for ppl. You are not that great a cruching number you [violative content deleted].

I recently purchased my 2009 Accord at Barker Honda. I have bought several cars in my life and this was by far the best car buying experience I have had! They responded quickly to my email and gave me their best price (better than others I had received) the first time. I did not have to haggle and go back and forth on price. When I arrived, the internet manager Ashley greeted me and had a salesperson help me. The sales person was Bradley and was so prepared for me. He had my car cleaned when I arrived. Everyone at the dealership was very friendly! I have sent them some of my family as customers. I highly reecommend Barker Honda!

The worst car experience i have ever had. The salesman was annoying, the sales manager and finance manager were rude, and very unprofessional. Lies, and very deceitful. Glad i got a honda, but never will i deal with or recommend Barker Honda.

First of all let me say the sales person was ok, but my overall experience was very unpleasant and unprofessional. The Finance and sales managers were extremely rude and inconsiderate. First visit was offered a good amount for my trade in, but let 10 dollars kill the deal on the car I wanted. Went back at 3 weeks later and offered me 1000 less on my trade in and gave me higher interest rates and wanted more money out of my pocket. Sales person kept running back and forth to sales manager. I thought that was so tacky and old school. I check this site and knew what I should get for car. I even used honda's web site finance calculator and could not understand where they were coming up with there numbers. My credit is excellent, in the high 700's and they had no excuse for the things they were trying to pull. I almost signed a bad deal and asked the sales manager if I could think about it over night and come back in the morning. He responded, "Ok, but if you are not back in the morning the deal is off". Ok, could you imagine telling any customer that in any busiess. He was acting like I should be paying him to work to even speak to me. LOL Needless to say, it was not a good deal at all and they did not want to come down a bit. I went to another dealership not far away from them and got what I wanted with excellent customer service from the sales manager. I do like honda automobiles, but don't think I would buy from that dealer.
