I had been looking to purchase a Ford Maverick for about half a year to replace my third gen Ford Ranger because we are expecting our first child and need a back seat. They are extremely hard to find and sell quickly when they pop up but Charlie over at Auffenberg Ford really did a lot of legwork for us and called us as soon as one came in so we have a family truck before the baby comes. He was so kind and patient with us. Great customer service.

Alexis communication was on point. I asked her questions, and she answered them. I had a problem, and she took care of it. Alexis, keep up the good work. I would have given Alexis 5 stars. But I tried calling the financial departments. Couldn't talk with anyone. I received an email from James Logston and said I get a packet in the mail to title my car in 2 to 3 weeks. I left messages to call and just received an email. No great customer service. I want to talk to a live person, not communication thru email. So that's why I am giving Auffenberg 1 star. When you call all their phones, go to voice mail. So I will keep purchasing my cars from St. Louis, where I can talk with a live person. I wish i could do business with Alexis she was great. Alexis, I wish you the best. Keep up the good work. Thanks Alexis

We stopped in on a whim after scouring every app and website known to man. I’m glad we made the decision to use Auffenberg over our previous dealer. Alexus was wonderful to work with and would highly recommend her! The rest of the staff was amazing as well. The thoroughness of the finance department was much appreciated. The service department was good on their word and we left with what we wanted and will definitely come back in the future. They were much better than our previous dealership.

I got my dream car which is a Jeep Cherokee and not even a month has passed and it start messing up. Turning off at stop lights, wouldn’t start, etc. I’m in the process of getting it repaired now and the man just called and said it’s so many codes that came up and they still don’t know what’s wrong with it. & before my boyfriend had called Auffenberg to let them know the problems and the guy who sold us the car told us there are 5 other people who are having trouble with cars they just purchased also. So just beware.

I was emailing a sale manager about a car i was int rested in purchasing. They told it was still available so i decided to go see it after work which was 50plus miles. When I got there it had already been sold and I had just sold it. i just talk to he the day before but the had been. i think it was just to get me there to sell me a different car. this was 3 days ago the car is stlll showing on their website.

Poor Quality Used Cars

We went to the O'Fallon location looking for a specific car from the website, when we got their it was in service. The salesman quickly tried to get us too look at other cars, (one of which my husband who has a degree in automotive technology refused to test drive stating the brakes were in such poor shape it wasn't even safe to drive) stating the one we wanted to see had 6 owners and basically wanted to talk us out of the car. We humored him and looked at a couple other cars. We find another car on the Belleville lot we wanted to look at, we met him down at that lot test drove the car. We were interested in the car we to negotiate and of course we manged to pick one of the 10% of the cars on the lot that they didn't have any "wiggle room" on. The car was listed online at $8888, it was not worth even close to that, the antenna was broke off, the power mirror adjustment didn't work, it had several imperfections on the body, it had 10,000 miles over average as it was a prior rental car and had been in a previous accident. We were ok with all of that, but were negoating the price based on that and the research on the car's value we had done. The salesman finally agreed to take out offer to the sales manager after stating "he could us a good laugh". He then come's back with the "invoice" of what they paid for the car and stated they didn't normally show this to customers. According to the invoice they paid $6000ish for the car at auction and did around $2000 work of work on the car (with everything we found wrong I don't see how that was possible). He them claimed the service center was union and those guys don't work without getting paid, I tried to confirm that they were in fact union with the service and was unable too. Also the salesman then attempted to tell us his O'Fallon lot had better quality cars and we should pick something from that lot. It's all the same dealership why would you say something negative about one of your other locations? In the end we were able to find the same car in almost new condition, 10,000 less miles, no accident, and one owner. and a year newer at a competitors dealership for the same price as Auffenburg's asking price.

Great Finance Manager

We were pleasantly surprised when we finally made it to the finance Department. We worked with Shaun Stinnett, who was both kind and helpful. We had concerns due to a home foreclosure which left us with poor credit. He gave us some great advice on how to lower our payment over time and even got us an unexpected 2 year warranty. It was a pleasant surprise to leave his office not feeling bad about our credit, but rather good about the possibilities in the near future. And all of this was at closing time, 8pm on a Friday!

I randomly stopped into Auffenberg Ford in Belleville and left with a beautiful new vehicle. I was very nervous at first but thanks to Jake Cates, my new favorite salesman, that was quickly put to ease. I have never met such a laid back salesperson. He made sure that I was no less than 110% satisfied before I left. Very respectful, considerate and knowledgeable. I walked in a new customer and left a forever customer. Forever thankful!
