onWe bought our 2009 Buick Enclave in June of 2012. They agreed to our "out the door" price requirements, but we noticed the trade-in allowance wasn't enough to cover the payoff on our car. Yet the "unpaid balance" was as the amount we had agreed to. We asked how this worked out, and the finance person shrugged and said they didn't know but somehow the numbers work out. Since we bought an extended warranty, I knew the total price was slightly higher than our agreed price, but was surprised later to find they had slipped the unfunded trade balance into the finance agreement. They never went over the numbers, and as we were the last customers in the shop (last day of the month), I didn't look as closely as I should have. Bad lesson!!! It cost me $3500, that would have been a deal breaker if I'd have seen it, or been advised of it. Shame on me, but everyone else should BEWARE!!!
