Car service from Ewald Chevolet

Oil change, tire rotation, 26 point inspection. I was given a printout of work & inspections, very helpful to know condition of vehicle. Technician performed all inspections, my car was safe & ready for a road trip. I like the service technicians at Ewald, they are friendly and listen to my concerns. The office lady was friendly and helpful. I was dropped at my home and picked up when work was completed. Friendly courteous driver.

Don't bother with this service center

I had just got my bolt evs battery recall done here and I'm not impressed. I had a issue in the past with this dealership when they turned me away for the software update for the safety recall on my car, I end up having to travel out of my way to a dealership that would do it. This time upon reviving my car I had 2 tires at 28psi which is odd since I should have revived a tire rotation that I paid for and my invoice specifically says that air pressures were checked. So who knows, I ended up rotating my tires elsewhere. Now i have another recall on my car and will probably go anywhere else for it to be done.

Happy to buy their again!

I chose Ewald Chevrolet of Oconomowoc because of the way they treated my daughter and son-in-law. When they needed to purchase a vehicle, they honored a special discount on a vehicle that actually was not supposed to discounted. They originally said they would honor it. So they kept their word and didn't try to take it away. That's integrity. For that reason I told the manager I would order my next truck from them. I ordered my new truck from them 5 months later. They've treated me with respect and has treated my vehicle as it were their own. While trying to keep the expenses down as much as possible along the way. The service staff is polite, courteous, and knowledgeable as well. I plan to go back for my next vehicle.

What a fantastic place to buy a car! The staff is friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. I never once felt pressured. I would definitely recommend purchasing a vehicle from this establishment. I've used their service department as well. They are equally as professional. Their waiting room and facility is overall very clean and comfortable.

Kicked to the curb...

After several purchases in past years, we recently purchased a used Trailblazer from this dealership earlier in 2017. Expecting that the vehicle had been quality checked, we TRUSTED the dealer and made the purchase for our teenage children. The vehicle was driven off the lots with the brakes not working - We returned, they fixed. We then had a front bearing issue, we repaired, vehicle needed new tires, we replaced - The vehicle has 2500 miles on it since purchase. After the last service issue, we brought the vehicle home, now noticing an oil leak, we scheduled an appointment, and now were told a seal needed to be replaced. Frustrated, we asked if this was usual that in the first year of a vehicle only having 100k miles on it, that 2k worth of repairs would be necessary - never got an answer. We asked for the repairs to not be completed, we were charged $100 for a service inspection fee and picked up the car for repairs at another service facility. I understand the "buyer beware" mentality. I understand that it is not a new vehicle. But the way we were "dismissed" by the dealer is truly shocking. When I picked up the car, and paid the 100 inspection fee, I wasn't greeted by a service advisor, told of what the options were, nothing, I then went to the car, the paper floor mat was on the floor with the dirty plastic wrap on the seat and the service number hanging on the mirror. I guess the adage, since you are not using us, we don't care mentality was sure in play. Over 8 cars have been purchased and serviced by my family at this dealership. Never again. Unfortunate that probably never a Chevy again either.

Great! Great! Great!

Without sounding cheesy I have to tell someone about what a great experience I had at Ewald Chevy. This is my wife's fifth new car purchase. She normally purchases in the Kenosha/Racine area because thats where we live. A friend that lives near us suggested Ewald Chevy in Oconomowoc. I called and immediately noticed the difference between our last purchases. The lady on the phone, I believe her name was Tracy, was like a blast of sunlight in what is now a cold white winter. She forwarded me to Ken Hern the New Car Manager. He asked me all of the important questions and told me that they had four of what she wanted. I explained to him that my time is very important because I travel and it was obvious at this point that I handle the big purchases in our family. I was also going to make this a surprise for my wife who had just had a small surgery. Considering that we had already drove one locally we felt no need to go and drive it. Ken explained that it would be the easiest process we had every been through. He took my information over the phone and said the vehicle would be cleaned up and ready for delivery for us when we were ready. Hats off guys great job keep it up. I hope more people see that you don't have to buy from the guy down the street just because he is close. After running the numbers compared to Lynch we saved $2,500 more. In todays times its hard to make a penny stretch so if you have a chance to save some money you take it.

Worst dealership I have ever dealt with. Josh(saleman) and Amy(internet sales) were great. Insulting trade in offer and price of vehicle overpriced with no negotiation offered at all. Would not recommend them at all. Horrible experience. Tried making me pay 12k for a vehicle that had a trade in value of $2200, has an oil leak, bad tie rods, bad idler arm. they offered me $2000.00 for my trade that has a retail value of $7250.00 which means they were trying to make about 9k off of me. I know times are tough but don't insult your customers by thinking they would be dumb enough to accept that. When i told them I wanted to pay cash they gave me this price with what it would cost per month. I am sure someone their will see this and won't care either and would be surprised if they actually so. FYI - they only got a two for customer service because of Josh and Amy and the fact that a gentleman gave my kids a cookie.
