Sad used car sales

Spoke with dealer about a used vehicle. Discussed negotiation of price. Dealer said they couldn't go lower on price due to interest in vehicle. In fact they said the price might be going up a few days after we spoke. Feel lied to.

I recently purchased a used vehicle from Johnson Motor Sales. Salesman Ed Zimmerman was very knowledgeable of the vehicle and its history, he was also easy to work with to complete the sale-to include coming to the office on his day off!

Pleasure was mine

I had one of the best experiences ever at Johnson Motors- and Ed was the icing on the cake. I had worked with the same GM dealer for the past 25 years and to go somewhere else was concerning- Would they take care of me and understand what I needed and why? Would I get the hard pressure sale. Answers are YES and NO. The entire experience was built around my needs and what I wanted and no pressure. I had a lot of fun- even on my test drive I saw others test driving vehicles and we waved at each other-at the turn around spot. (That is the perfect route to check out the vehicle at all speeds and turn and merge back into traffic, switch drivers, etc.) What fun it was. I was ready to drive home in my new SUV that day! I didn't have anyone with me for the vehicle shopping adventure-So Ed played the role of friend/family and we made the perfect decision for me!!! it was awesome. I would highly recommend calling Ed for an excellent vehicle sales experience. There is one other factor that confirmed my decision to purchase at Johnson Motors- I am a former 4-Her and raised and sold my beef cattle at the county fair- I put myself through college with the money I earned. I saw the pictures from the St. Croix Co. fair livestock auction and that Johnson Motors purchased a couple Steers and there was also a scrap book with more pictures. That is one of the best experiences a 4H/FFA Beef project kid has, and I will never forget the feeling of selling your animal and to a local business- knowing that sealed the deal for me. Oh, and did I mention how much fun it is to work with ED Z?

Extremely bad visit

I went to this dealer on Valentine's Day, which is February 14th, 2009, with the intent of purchasing a newer car for my family. I should note this is my 2nd time back to this dealer in not even 2 years. My first experience was fabulous, where i purchased a 2007 Chev Aveo brand new in June of 2007. However, I don't think Financing tried hard enough, and ended up with higher interest than I wanted or needed. Anyway, back to the recent experience of this month. As i was saying, I went back my 2nd time on February 14th, 2009, and completely wasted 5 hours of my time and walked away with nothing. Thinking this was just a bad day for everyone, I went back a few days later. Finally got a deal running for a 2007 Chev Malibu LS. An absolutely beautiful car, and went to sign the paper work on Tuesday evening. Everyone in my family was excited to have this vehicle addition. During the finance review, there was some sort of computer error with a number or two, so the dealer put a dealer plate on the car, so we could have it until the paperwork problem was resolved, and everything was signed. I went back the following night to have this done, only to find the terms were changed, and it came right down to $459.00 to win or lose the deal, of which they were totally informed up front, I didn't have any money. Needless to say, I was absolutely angry that they put my family into this situation, and the fact that they changed the terms knowing that it wouldn't happen, as I didn't have the extra money. I should note, I had a trade, and they low balled it by 200.00 on the trade vs the value of the trade. I honestly wouldn't recommend anyone take the time at Johnson Motors in New Richmond, WI. They are nice people, but its how they do business, which the consumers will lose.
