Have to give the dealership credit and accept terms of my purchase
by buying ford on 03/24/2025trucks transmission was getting uo to 190-200 I told the tech at the apt setting time that there is a TSB that the Thermo bypass vlave needs to be changed to a lower temp thermostate 158. Tech argued with me and said his transmission guy… needs to look at it. Sure enough transmission guy said yup we need to change thermo bypass vlave part was $167, labor was $200 and diagnostic fee of $200 was charged also. This is a part that litterally takes 10-15minutes to change... And the real kicker is my truck is still under the 60,000 mile drive train warranty. Service advisor offered nothing expect to say that part that cools the transmission is not part of the drive train warranty.. talk about a scam.. $658 was my total bill walking out but hey I got a free car wash.. I dont know if its my service advisor screwing me or the dealership screwing me or Chevrolet screwing me I hjust know that I got screwed . I've been turning wrenches most of my life and it just sucks when you get these situations where they got you for a diagnostic fee that does not apply to your repair .. its in addition and I bought my truck and all services is done by this dealer... Ask me if I will buy another new truck from them? NOPE why would I leave me hangoing out there on my own .. Update March 2025: I was a bit upset when writing the earlier review. In all fairness the dealership has its policies and the manufacturer has its policies. the good part about the whole experience is Gn had put out a TSB on the replacement part and that is a good thing. without the TSB the vehicle could have had serious mechanical issues and given the dealership has expressed its need to follow warranties i can not expect special treatment when it's not wartranted. Te people at the dealership were simply doing thier job and I have to respect those boundaries. My apologies to the dealership . In the 5 years they have been servicing my car I have always praised the service levels. just a bad day I guessI am very sorry you are not happy with the service you received. We diagnosed the concern you brought your vehicle in for. You elected to approve the diagnosis fee at the time the repair order was written. You could have declined the fee and went with what you thought was the issue. We prefer to diagnose the issue to make sure there isn't something else going on. If we do not, and we replace the part you request and it doesn't fix the issue you very well could be equally upset. Unfortunately, we cannot control what GM covers under powertrain warranties and what they do not. We went to GM for cost assistance for you and we were declined any help. Very Attentive Service

The service tech, Chris, took a test ride with me and confirmed the noise. They were able to check out the… problem in the afternoon and determined that it was worn areas on the inside of my front tires. There was no charge for them to do this, which was very much appreciated! Naturally, I need new tires!Thank you for taking the time to write this wonderful review of our service department.
