Warranty Scam
Written by 03/12/2016
on***UPDATE***- After posting on social media outlets- Crest contacted us and offered a fair refund for the warranty. They redeemed themselves.
SCAMMED. BUYER BEWARE. We purchased a warranty from Crest a couple of years ago. We were promised that our car would be covered for an ADDITIONAL 60,000 miles or 48 months, whichever came first. When we went to use our warranty, we were told it had expired when our car reached 60,000 miles. So we paid $1,900 for warranty that lasted us approximately 10,000 miles. We are smart shoppers and asked all the right questions. We were promised our car would be covered for an additional 60,000 miles (not up to 60,000 miles). We contacted Crest sales department and their General Manager. After being strung along for SEVERAL MONTHS, their "resolution" was to SELL US ANOTHER WARRANTY. They acknowledged the error and blamed it on the warranty company, but offered no real resolution. We are extremely dissatisfied with this gross misrepresentation and extremely poor customer service. We gave them several opportunities and months to make this right and they failed to do so.
