onMy wife had a tree blown onto her car while driving in December, totalling it. She found an ad for a Forester online, and we went to Walker's on Sunday to look at it. When we got there, they said it had been sold. Finally after 10 minutes, someone found the car-another half hour to find the keys. Took it for a test-drive, and offered to purchase it for full listed price. Planned to write a check that day and pick it up on Friday after they replaced the broken windshield.Financial person said we should wait until Friday to give her the check. We needed to transfer funds from saving into checking, and she said she couldn't guarantee the check would not be submitted before the transfer was done. Filled out all paperwork, and went home. Got a call from the dealership Manager after we got home, saying we had to come back to give them a check that afternoon. Manager accused us of trying to "steal" the car when we were just following the Financing person's recommendation. We pushed back and took them a check Monday morning. Went in Friday to pick up the car-windshield was not replaced. They scheduled it for the Saturday of the following week. Manager agreed to give us a tank of gas for making two extra trips. Took it in the next Friday evening and got a loaner, returned Saturday noon to get our car. No gas fillup, no one knew anything about it, even though it was written on our sale paperwork. Three months have passed, still waiting for corrected title - they had the color wrong on the paperwork they submitted to DOT/DOL.Love the car - but will not go back to Walker's; cannot recommend them. Sales Dept. O.K., Financial-Not Good, Management-Very Poor.
