Smart Motorz

We were drawn in by the family feel of Smart Motorz. The owner, Rafik, told us of the free oil changes, the way he felt the customer experience should be customer focused, honest and up front. He really did go out of his way to make us feel comfortable and let us know that they would be happy to do any and all repairs the car needed and even went so far to say he would love to be the repair shop for our other vehicles as well. We felt good driving out of the lot with a car for our son. After a month or so, the car began having an intermittent starting problem. We asked them to try and diagnose and fix it. After a day, they told us nothing was wrong. We also asked them to adjust the headlights and they said it was not possible. They returned the car to us without any changes or repairs. After research online, I replaced the ignition switch myself and fixed the problem that the car "did not have" and also found how to adjust the headlights. When we asked for an oil change, we were told we had to go 5000 miles, but had only gone 4800, so they were not willing to do the oil change yet. A month later, the car threw a rod and blew the engine and Rafik and his brother said "we are sorry for your loss." The promises made during the sale were empty. Service was lacking and they were hesitant to follow through on anything. Their mechanical and repair ability is very limited. Do not expect them to perform needed repairs for you willingly. Please think twice prior to purchasing a car from Smart Motorz.
