Worst dealer in Washington

by Casper on 09/04/2021

Worst experience with a car dealer I have ever had. Ruben was the sales person twice during the negotiations I was asked if I wanted the windows tinted I said no. Twice it was scratched off the offer sheet. When I got home I noted that there was a charge for tinting the windows. I called the dealer and got someone from finance but it wasn't the person I dealt with. Was asked if the windows had tint referring to the Passenger and Driver I said maybe I don't know. It could have come from the factory that way. The person got indignant and said it is illegal for the those windows to come from the factory tinted. Never heard of that before it has to be 24% max tint. Anyway was told that someone would call me back the next day 22 August. I waited until 1130 no call I called and surprise I got Ruben. I discussed the issue he asked again if the windows were tinted that was his rationale for the charge. But he admitted he did not know if the windows were tinted. So he just made an assumption they were tinted. Never got anywhere with the conversation. he said I guess I'll have to have someone else call you back. It's Thursday 8/26 no call back I even left a voice mail for the general manager. Nothing. Also before leaving I showed Ruben that there were scratches in the paint underneath the door handles. He took pictures and said the detail guy would be in touch no such call has happened. Going to file a compliant with ATG office. Stay away from this dealership. They do no care about you or how bad they screw you over.

Don't get fooled by their deceitful offers and tricks

by PEEEZZZ on 06/28/2014

Like Glafuenti, I too was tricked by this dealer. During the negotiation, we came to an agreement of $15,000 for my trade in vehicle which was the low KBB value. They have me sign the negotiation paper saying $15,000 for my trade in and that I am driving home the new truck for that very same day. I handed them the keys to my car and they went out for a test drive. Upon their return, the sales person told me that they have some issues with my trade in because they will have to spend money to get it in top condition, i.e; wax and polish, new tires, and weather seals. They did not tell me that they were lowering the trade in value to $9,000. After a couple of hours of waiting, I finally get to sit down with their finance agent to sign the terms and agreement. So again like Glafuenti, I have been sitting in the dealership for too long and just ready to drive home with the truck. I did not pay attention to the numbers because I trusted that they're all sales professionals and will stick to what we have agreed upon on the car values. After I got home with the the new truck, I went over the sales paperworks and noticed that the trade in value was not what we have agreed upon, and that they have also added extra warranty coverage for an additional $4,000. I am now kicking myself in the butt for trusting [non-permissible content removed] and their deceitful sales persons. There's nothing else that I can really do now that the sales paperworks have been signed and finalized. So, lesson lesson learned, be prepared to spend all day in [non-permissible content removed] and don't let them play tricks on you by making you wait for so long until you get tired and lose track and all cares about the final price. Pay attention to the numbers before you sign that sales paperwork. Don't be a victim!

Do not buy from here!

by Glafuenti on 06/26/2014

I went in to purchase a 2013 Dodge Caravan with 27,000 miles on it from this business and told them on the van I wanted that I would give them $17,000 out the door with $2000 down and $1500 trade in on my vehicle which would bring the financing down to $13,500. I was VERY specific about the 17,000 out the door. Instead the sales agent kept telling me they could only do 18,000 I was NOT going to accept this offer and called to speak with my husband to see what he wanted me to do. the agent came out and offered me the $17,000 I wanted while I was on the phone with my husband, they kept me there for 4 hours. I was using a power of attorney for my husband which they said was not a problem. Finally after 4 hours we went to sign the papers I was tired and had been stressed by the sales agents who kept me there for 4 hours telling me they were trying to make it work with my power of attorney. By the time we were done I walked out the door after signing and realized as my daughter was driving me home that the papers I signed said 17,000 for my finance. They had confused me and tired me so much by keeping me there for 4 hours that I did not realize until I had left and my daughter had looked at the sales agreement and told me they charged me a finance of $17,000 not $13,500. When I tried to take the car back the next day telling them this was NOT what we agreed on they were very rude and told me I signed the papers and the deal was done. That same day the van I bought was making noises so I took it to a mechanic and he told me the noise was the transmission going bad. The van had no warranty but I believe they used these tactics to sell me this van they KNEW had problems just to get it off their lot. As well as confusing me on the sale price. We agreed on $17,000 with $2000 down and $1500 trade in. Anyone who knows basic math can see that would be 13,500 left to finance

All about the money; upset customers normal

by JKMain on 01/25/2014

I bought a 2012 dodge grand caravan. I traded in a 2005 Ford Explorer xlt. I felt robbed when they told me they would only give me 4k for my trade in and I showed them the kelly blue book was way above that. If my wife and kids didn't love the new dodge I would have walked. Approx. six months later I took vehicle in to have transmission looked at and inquired about the brake pedal vibrations while braking. The tech. said transmission ok, but braked calipers warped. Salesman said they'd turn them for 110 dollars. Upset I inquired about not getting a manual with my 1 year old vehicle, So once again it would cost me 65 dollars for manual. I asked about getting floor mats that should have came with vehicle and 250 dollars I could have them. In short this caravan was stripped of everything that was not bolted down and if I wanted them it would cost me. At the time I found that the brake rotors were warped I had only put 4k miles on the vehicle after purchase so clearly the problem existed before purchase and still they didn't stand behind their product. Once off the lot it was clearly my problem unless I had cash.

Does not stand on Dodge name.

by chrisrobertson on 06/27/2013

I bought a 2013 Dodge Dart from Karmart in Burlington and had nothing but problems with the car. I had to bring the car into the dealership for service 6 different times and had repairs done 4 times. The car was constantly causing me problems. I asked if there was any way they could take the Lemon back and work with me on a different car. They told me they could not help me unless I put an additional $4,000 down to make the deal go through. I think this is robbery and any company that does business like this is something to watch out for.

Excellent Experience

by egough on 01/27/2013

We bought a new 2012 Dodge truck from this dealership and worked directly with Gwen. This buying experience was the best we have ever had and over the years we have bought 7 vehicles (5 new and 2 used) from other dealerships. We had a horrible ( and I mean horrible) experience with two other dealers between Sunday and Tuesday looking for the same type of truck but I must say the other trucks were a step down from the one we ended up getting from Karmart. We contacted Gwen on Wednesday morning around 9:00 am with all of our needs and wants for a new truck and by 8:00 pm that night, we had our deal done and everything was exactly as she had stated over the phone. The truck was as described with all and more of our required options, the deal on the truck was in writing, no games, no gimmicks no foul play. She had said in our initial phone converstation that they were a very transparent dealership and took care of their customers and appologized profusly for the experience we had previously with the other dealerships and explained they felt horrible since they do not opperate that way. At the same time, she had not one bad thing to say about the other dealers which I thought was very professional since we already knew the dirty details of how the other dealerships opperated. I am convinced that every word that she said about Karmart was completely true now that we have finished dealing with them. We will be returning to Karmart for all of our service needs and of course if the occassion ever arrises where we need another vehicle, we will go there. I will be spreading the word to all of our friends looking to purchase a vehicle and also told Gwen that I would sing her praises on every review site that was available to us since her customer service and Karmart went above and beyond the call of duty! We are thrilled with our truck but also feel like we have made a new business friend that we will trust for our service and future buying needs. If you are looking for a dealership that does not play games, is open and honest about what they can and cannot do and that will treat you right from start to finish, be sure to go and see Gwen at Karmart!
