This review is strictly about the management and not the service. The motive for this review is strictly to inform other people so they can avoid a toxic relationship/business with this dealership. To get to the point, the dealership will no longer accept my vehicle to be serviced (Toyota Plus-prepaid) because "you wrote us a bad review". In one experience I waited 2 hours longer than estimated and was asked to give a review in which I gave an honest review. I was called by the GM to receive a free car detail but was pressured to give a high review and it felt very quid pro quo. I held to my genuine feelings. In the second experience after a service I was very frequently emailed, texted and even called to give a review. I live a busy life as a father, husband and firefighter/paramedic and it felt very imposing and pressuring to give a review on a very regular basis. When I came around to writing a review, I gave one that was objective and honest which acknowledges that Toyota wants to better themselves through implication of the review process and by seeking input of the customer experience/relationship. That said, I informed them that I do not like the "bully" feel I get to provide them a review and that it felt like they are asking for a compliment because it doesn't feel like my time is respected. Fast forward now to my next service date which is today. Just prior to my appointment to receive my oil change the dealership cancels last minute to tell me there is a "mix-up" and I'll have to reschedule. I had to ask several questions to get clarity and eventually found out that the GM didn't like my review and I am no longer a customer won't accept my service. I thought that the "mix-up" was a staffing issue and I would have to reschedule, however it was a disingenuous way of saying you aren't welcome here anymore. IMO, this Toyota-Mercedez Bellingham business model culls people who stand up and are authentically providing feedback. They asked for it, I gave it and I'm bad because they value 5 stars over genuine feedback. The responses I received when I brought this up were just a continuation of, "I'm sorry you feel that way". There is nothing I can do but to either conform and give them 5 stars or retain my authenticity. I'll choose the latter every single day because bullies need to be called out. To conclude, this business model is dysfunctional because it values 5 star ratings over honesty and character. This experience shows me that their actions are toxic and there isn't much I can do about it then to inform the few that stumble upon this thread. I have no ill-intent on the hard working people there, nor the technical service, however the GM has set this toxic example and this review is worthy of my time to alert and protect other people.

Two Cars purchased and looking for a third

I've bought very few cars in my lifetime but I know that I'll always give RJ my first call when I'm serious about my next. I've purchased a new 2005 Prius back when we had to wait on a list to get one and have been happy ever since. My next was a "used" Honda CR-Z. We came in to look for a Mini and fell in love with this little white wonder. So much fun! Thanks RJ! We'll be back for sure.

Very easy and convenient to deal with.

I dealt with Bob P. at Wilson Toyota. I contacted him initially over email. He was very responsive and helpful. He helped us locate the ideal used car for our needs before we ever visited the dealership. I live 80 miles away so that was a big plus. We negotiated a very reasonable deal and I could not be happier!

Lease of a Prius Plug-In

After 20 months of driving a Prius Hybrid and being very happy with it, I decided to move on my intention to get a plug-in hybrid. I contacted several local dealers and settled on Wilson Toyota in Bellingham, despite it being 30 miles further away, due to their efforts to get hold of a car very quickly for me in just the color and model I wanted. In addition they gave me a better deal on the trade-in of my 2010 Prius, and got me in and out of the dealership in record time. Crystal, the sales agent did everything she could to help me out, and the signer did not pressure me into the add-ons that are traditionally pushed at closing. Thugh I have no complaints about the other dealership, my first contact in the future will be Wilson's Toyota.
